A Transformative Experience at the World’s Largest Landfill - The Tour was an eye-opening experience that I will never forget. This tour isn't just about witnessing the stark realities of waste management; it's a profound journey into the heart of environmental issues that affect our planet. From the moment we arrived, our guide shared insightful stories about the history of the landfill and the impact of e-waste on local communities. I was particularly struck by the resilience of the people working at the landfill, finding ways to recycle and repurpose materials that many would consider worthless. The tour also emphasized the importance of awareness regarding the global waste problem, especially concerning electronic waste. Seeing first-hand the scale of the landfill was both shocking and motivating. It served as a powerful reminder of our role as consumers and the need for responsible practices in our daily lives. If you are looking for a tour that not only educates but also inspires action towards sustainability, I highly recommend this experience. It’s a vital step towards understanding the global implications of waste and the importance of caring for our environment. A must-do when in Accra! know!

Agbogbloshie Tour - This was a very eye opening tour and important experience to understand the e-waste and recycling process in Accra. Toufic and the other guides took great care of me and my family and it was obvious they really cared for the community. It was not an easy reality to be confronted with but I would recommend the tour.

Highly Recommended - Toufic (and Mohamed Awal) is a really great guide and the e-waste tour itself is highly recommended. It's an incredibly unique and shocking experience that can be difficult to come to terms with but I believe it to be necessary for everyone to understand better. Through all the chaos, they also give you a glimpse of the everyday lives of the warm people who live and work on the site - it's truly worth taking the time to visit.

As a foreigner who has... - As a foreigner who has visited Ghana dozens of times and deeply loves the country, this tour was truly shocking. It starkly illustrates how the global challenge of electronic waste disposal has disproportionately burdened this small district. At the same time, it reflects Ghana’s internal "North-South divide," where poverty is heavily concentrated in the northern regions. The people living and working in this area are striving hard to make a living, and thanks to their efforts, security is well maintained. However, this environment is far from suitable for human habitation. With adequate funding and technology, electronic waste recycling could be conducted in a proper and safe setting. Moreover, the responsibility for managing such waste should lie with the "developed countries" that produce it. Additionally, if economic development in the northern regions progresses, people would not need to migrate south in search of work. This tour offers a meaningful opportunity to witness these contradictions firsthand. The guide was thoughtful and considerate, making the experience both insightful and valuable.

A must see when in Accra - One of the most impressive experiences I have ever had! Toufic is an amazing guide who is an expert in his profession and a very nice and welcoming person. I got many interesting insights with a lot of valuable background information. A big advantage is the flexibility of your pickup time and the transfer from your hotel and back to the desired destination. I can highly recommend this tour.

Interesting experience - It was a unique experience, albeit very expensive for 2 hours. In addition to the tour operator's guide, you are accompanied on site by another guide who lives right next to the e-waste dump (also known from ‘Welcome to Sodom’). This guide is a bit border-crossing and exhausting. The tour provider himself also warned me that he would try to get my phone number, for example, in order to ask me for money later. He also kept interrupting the tour operator's guide. Apart from that, it was a fantastic experience; the tour operator's guide was friendly, very knowledgeable and did everything to make sure I had a pleasant experience.

Agbogbloshie tour - great insightful tour, meeting the people who livelihood depends on this site. Seeing the community and how the place is organised, operates with support network. I felt safe throughout and not too intrusive interfering with people everyday working lives. Both my guides were very good.

Incredible and humbling - Incredible experience. Very humbling. Aweisu was an amazing guide. Not an overly long tour, you basically get driven to the site and spend an hour or so being walked through Agbogbloshie seeing some of the working and living areas.

Insightful and necessary tour to understand our world today - Highly recommend this incredible and insightful tour into the growing challenge of electronic waste. Our tour guide Taufic and the indomitable Awal showed us both sides of this challenge and as we explored we understood more about the community and the people that have carved out a living here and we could see the economic innovation everywhere. So much to understand and learn from our knowledgeable guides - an experience never to be forgotten. Thank you both for creating this opportunity for others to learn from. Warmest wishes.
