amazing experience - I had an amazing experience on the Agafay Desert Camel Ride with Dinner. The adventure started with an exhilarating camel ride through the golden dunes of the Agafay desert. The leisurely pace of the tour allowed me to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding nature while feeling at one with my surroundings. After the camel ride, we were welcomed by friendly staff who took us to a warm and cozy place where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was freshly prepared and consisted of typical Moroccan dishes such as tagine and couscous, as well as a variety of fresh salads and freshly baked bread. While we dined, we were accompanied by live music, performed by talented local artists. The atmosphere was magical, and the combination of the food, music and desert scenery created a truly unforgettable experience. The service provided by the staff was excellent, and they made every effort to ensure that we had a pleasant and comfortable experience. The excursion was well organized and without any issues, and the team was always there to answer any questions or concerns we had. Overall, the Agafay Desert Camel Ride with Dinner was an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone. If you are looking for an exciting adventure, delicious food and live music in a magical environment, don't miss the opportunity to join this tour.

recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco. - My Agafay desert dinner experience with camel ride was just amazing. From the moment we arrived at the camp, we were greeted with a warm welcome and traditional mint tea. After relaxing for a bit and enjoying the beautiful desert scenery, we were taken for a camel ride. It was a unique and exciting experience, seeing the desert from a different perspective as the camels moved slowly across the sand. After the camel ride, we sit down to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars. The food was delicious and plentiful, with dishes such as lamb tajine and couscous. There was also live music and traditional dances which made the night even more special. Overall I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco. It is a unique and unforgettable way to experience Moroccan culture and enjoy the beauty of the Agafay desert. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the evening which made everything even more special. I will definitely be back!

They do NOT pick you up at your hotel as advertised - Operator contacted me a few hours before the trip to notify me that the pickup would NOT be at our Riad as advertised but rather a 30 min walk away. We are young American women and did not feel safe standing out on the street alone waiting for random cab to pick us up. We specifically chose this trip in consideration of this selling point as the cat-calling is incessant and intolerable here. One person in our party also has mobility issues. Viator would not refund so I'll be opening dispute with CC company.

Not as advertised - So to set the scene I have visited 69 Countries in the world, and used Viator many many times, (6 times in the last month, in 5 different countries) and find them excellent. After completing this trip, the more and more I look into it, I’m unsure the company running it is actually a tour operator, and think myself and Viator may have been mislead. Revisiting the profile on Viator, there’s no traveler photos, just the pictures the provider has added. None of pictures are actually representative of where you end up for dinner either, have a look at my photo, there building work going on. The company that runs the trip is called “Morocco Luxury Tours”. I have googled and researched the name, and can’t find they exist ? So now to the description of the trip and how it’s advertised, firstly it states HOTEL PICK UP/DROP OFF - we were staying in the old town, where a lot of the tourist accommodation is. Yes it’s not possible to drive right to the door of each hotel or Riad, but our airport taxi, took us to the street a couple of minutes away. I received a message from the tour operator on the day of the trip and they said they could not come to the accommodation as it was in the old town, and the pick up point would be 1/2 hour walk away from where we where staying. After lots of messaging we finally agreed to meet at the KFC on the main road, still quite a walk for us, but the only place we knew on the main road. We were told to meet there at 6pm. By this time I had been contacted by “Khalil” from the tour operator on WhatsApp, and agreed to meet at the restaurant next to KFC. We made sure we were there in plenty of time, arriving at 5.30pm and sending a WhatsApp picture of the restaurant to Khalil. By 6.10pm, no one had turned up and I called Khalil and he said a white van was there. The trip states ENGLISH SPEAKING DRIVER - this is not the case, it seems that all the tour operator does is book local taxi drivers, nearly impossible to communicate with. After running around the area, which is next to the main town square, full of taxis, and cars & frantic calls back and forth to Khalil, I found a white mini bus and had him call Khalil so he could translate with the driver to actually confirm it was ours ! We had to visit another location and pick 2 more people up, bearing in mind the trip pick up is advertised to be 5pm, we eventually left town at 6.30pm, and did not arrive at the desert till 7.30pm. 1 HOUR CAMEL RIDE - clearly we were late as we were the last ride of the day, and it was starting to get dark so the ride was only 40 minutes. At the end of the ride, I was then given a voucher for a taxi back to KFC ! I explained I had booked dinner, all very difficult as no one spoke conversational English & was told to keep the voucher & then put in a minibus for the journey to the place for dinner. When we arrived, the place was full & everyone was nearly finished their meals as we were so late. The photos on Viator are of a different venue, which looks amazing. This venue is just a marque with construction ongoing (see picture). We arrived at just before 9pm, they tried to make us sit outside, as they had no space left inside. Bearing in mind it’s pitch black now, cold, and the winds howling … after refusing to sit outside, the waiter then begrudgingly took some outside furniture and squeezed it in between other diners. The dinner is a just a main course of meatballs or chicken, some egg cup sized pots of 5 different salads, a litre bottle of still water & then for dessert 1/2 cup of what looks like tinned fruit salad. At 9.50pm we were approached by a taxi driver & used the voucher to get dropped back in town. Now I know my review will stand out against all the others, as they are 5 star, which I why I booked the trip. But rechecking the reviews they are all from March 2023 onwards … and no traveler photos. ? This does not feel like a Tour Operator to me, just someone using the Viator platform with photos that bear no resemblance to the trip, to get bookings & then sub contracts. I hope Viator investigates, something is not right here and it damages their good name.
