Additional Information

Situated 81 km to the east of Agadir, Taroudant offers a magnificent panorama of both the Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountain ranges. It mirrors the ambiance of Marrakech two decades ago. This medieval city positioned in a rich valley is famed for its expertise in crafting leather, ornamental iron, and traditional Berber silver jewelry.
The ‘small Marrakech’ provides a chance to explore the hilly tracks of the inland, including the palm groves of Tiout, a native Berber settlement on the slopes of the Anti-Atlas, 30 km away from Taroudant.
Prepare to be awestruck by the contrasting lush and barren panoramic view.
An ideal way to enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of the palm orchards would be on a donkey ride.

Lovely place to visit - Came here on a day trip from Agadir and it was charming, loved the wall round the city and all the history with the place, also there is a souq inside where you can do some shopping and bartering. Its a lovely place and if you have a guide as we did you get to here all the history which is really interesting. Highly recommend as a visit

Taroudant isnt like Marrakech - Aweful dirty town, rubbish souk, just save your money, NOTHING LIKE MARRAKECH, i took my wife out here so she could see what was described as the original Marrakech, to get away from scruffy seaside resort of Agadir
