Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Taznakht – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate Distance: ~380 km

Agadir - Depart from the hotel in Agadir around 8:00 AM.

Taroudant - The first stop is in Taroudant, a delightful walled city often referred to as the “Little Marrakech” — enjoy a stroll through the souks and admire the red-mud ramparts.

Taliouine - Continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Taliouine, renowned for its saffron fields (optional visit to a saffron cooperative).

Tazenakht - Take a lunch break in Taznakht, a town celebrated for its traditional Berber carpets.

Aït Benhaddou - In the afternoon, visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and popular filming location.

Ouarzazate - Arrive in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” in the evening.

Ouarzazate - Depart from the hotel or riad at 8:30 AM.

Skoura - After breakfast, drive along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Pass through the Skoura oasis and visit Kasbah Amridil (optional).

Valley of Roses - Explore the Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for rose water production.

Dades Gorges - Continue into the Dades Valley with its unique rock formations and picturesque kasbahs.

Tinghir - Enjoy lunch in the Dades area or Tinghir.

Merzouga Desert - Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert by late afternoon. Switch to camels for a sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at the desert camp, enjoy welcome tea, a Moroccan dinner, and traditional music around the fire. Spend the night under the stars in the desert camp.

Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate Distance: ~360 km

Merzouga Desert - Wake up early for a sunrise over the dunes. Have breakfast at the camp, then return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4.

Rissani - Visit Rissani, an important trading town with a lively traditional souk, famous for dates and the mausoleum of the founder of the Alaouite dynasty.

Nkob - Take a lunch break in Nkob, a beautiful village with over 40 old kasbahs.

Agdz - Make a short stop at the lush palm groves of Agdz, located on the edge of the Draa Valley.

Ouarzazate - Arrive back in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay in your riad or hotel.

Ouarzazate – Taznakht – Taliouine – Agadir Distance: ~380 km

Ouarzazate - After breakfast, consider an optional visit to the Atlas Film Studios or Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate.

Taliouine - Enjoy a scenic drive back through the Anti-Atlas Mountains via Taznakht and Taliouine.

Taliouine - Make quick photo stops or take advantage of shopping opportunities along the way.
