After checking in, embark on a drive to Lake Tana for a delightful boat trip to explore the stunning island monasteries, including Ura Kidane Mihret Church and Azuwa Maryam Monastery. The lush forests around the lake offer excellent birdwatching opportunities, and you might even spot hippos in Lake Tana.
In the afternoon, journey to the breathtaking Blue Nile Falls, which spans about 400 meters during the peak flood season (June, July, August, and half of September). Enjoy a city tour of Bahir Dar, especially if it’s a Saturday market day, and savor a “Weto” night dinner at a cultural restaurant featuring vibrant cultural dances.

Bahir Dar to Gondar
Gondar - After breakfast, set off early for Gondar, stopping along the way to visit Aweramba village. En route, explore The Devil’s Nose Rock, a basaltic monolith or hoodoo near the village of Addis Zemen, 75km north of Bahir Dar on the road to Gondar. This site is a significant roosting and potential nesting area for Ruepell’s and other vultures.
Upon arriving in Gondar, enjoy lunch before visiting the Royal Enclosure, Fassiledes Bath, which fills once a year for the “Timket” festival, and Debre Birhan Selassie Church. Conclude the day with dinner at a cultural restaurant featuring traditional dance performances.
Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa - On this day, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Addis Ababa. Spend the day exploring the city by driving to Entoto Mountain (3300m) for a panoramic view of Addis. Visit the Entoto Museum, which showcases historical and royal exhibits, The Church of St. Mary, built in 1885, and the old palace of Emperor Menelik II. Capture images of Addis Ababa and trek around Mount Entoto before returning to the city to visit the national museum. Enjoy a city market tour in Shiro Meda (cultural cloth market) before being transferred to Bole International Airport for your flight back home.
