Right from setting up the itinerary according to our choices to making the whole trip possible, it was amazingly planned. 👏 I appreciate the efforts made to make us comfortable. mickey was really kind. He made sure to consider our choices as well as the budget. Eferm our driver is another very kind soul. During the whole entire trip, he was so soft spoken and understanding. Speechless tour with an amazing team!! ✨💯💯 - Well the tour was really awesome and I really mean it!!! I came with by recommendation from few friends who did the tour. And well that is something unique in your life. Whatever the pictures it doesn't the reflect at 💯 what you have in the front of your eyes! Exo Aka / Mickey , was really really careful with the team ( I went solo and I join a group of 15 people ). It was a really nice to meet him and also get to know the drivers who are really experienced and know the dialects of the afar région and some legend and myths. By the way shout out the drivers cause the environment is very hostile , The cars were in good condition and fortunately because driving 3 to 6 hours a day in the desert you must have good cars and experienced drivers. if you are lucky you might see some lava at the erta ale.... Speechless. And go also early in the morning to see the sun rise at the erta ale, ( i didn't do it ...and I regret it ) Anyway the organisation from A To Z was awesome thanks to all the team of Danakil depression tour ! Things to bring : - toilet paper - sun cream /glasses - hat - disinfectant gel - and your good energy ! 🌟 For the food , it was really good I didn't expect to have the quality of food it this remote area: But the cooking team is able to prepare Fasting food ( vegetarian ) And also some pancakes for breakfast with eggs and toast ... Top 5 Site Ever! Prep for the Inferno! - I've traveled to 125 countries, including all 54 African countries. The Danakil Depression is in the top 5 most unique places I have ever seen! Many will go because of the surreal sites, especially the Dallol. However, just because it looks pretty in a photo doesn't mean it's a paradise. This trip is not for princesses and high-maintenance travelers. Here are some tips: - Prep for the heat. Bring an umbrella. - Because there are no showers for 3 days, bring wet wipes. - Assuming you fly from Addis, do NOT check your luggage (bring a carry-on). Ethiopian Airlines misplaced my luggage, so I was without it for 3 days. It's a 5-star experience and a well-run tour into Hades. I highly recommend it!

An adventure out of this world - We loved this tour to the Danakil Depression with Mickey and his team. All the places we visited were amazing, definitely out of this world, something you don't find in other countries. We had an excellent driver, the accommodation “in the million-star hotel” (=outdoors) was quite comfortable with new mattresses, sheets and blankets. The car was comfortable and strong for the journey. The volcano, the salt lake, the salt flat, the geothermal formations… everything was spectacular. To keep in mind: this is a fairly remote place where there are no amenities or places to buy snacks or meals. The bathroom is outdoors behind a bush or a rock and the food is basic. The temperature can be very high, even in winter. It is an adventurous experience that is enjoyed if you go with an open mind and a flexible attitude.

The surreal Danakil Depression - The Sulphur fields where amazing, as was the Vilcano we walked in and the landscape with passed through. Surreal !!! A tough and memorable tour - It is said to be a tough tour, and it certainly was tough. We went in a group, but everyone was nice and it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of food. I wasn't expecting it to be good, but it was delicious. The natural scenery was spectacular.

Excellent trip in Danakil, kind boss and guides - We signed up for a three-day volcanic tour in Danakil, along with a half-day city tour of Addis before Danakil. For the Addis half-day tour, the boss, Mickey, and our guide, Ashu, took us to a local restaurant to experience the delicious cuisine of Ethiopia. This made us to feel the hospitality and kindness of Ethiopian people. We also had a great talk with Mickey in the square, making it a very memorable journey. The next day, we flew to Danakil to join the three-day tour. At the moment, there weren't many tourists, so all the travel agencies grouped together to start on the journey. Our group consisted of around ten people, split into three or four vehicles, with one guide, chefs, and police for our protection. Our driver was very friendly and spoke excellent English. We were incredibly lucky to witness a massive volcanic eruption, creating a truly perfect memory. After the Danakil tour and we returned to Addis, Mickey even arranged for someone to pick us up at the airport and take us to take a shower. Mickey is an excellent boss, and Ashu is a super funny and kind guy. We left with truly wonderful memories of our time in Ethiopia.
