Accra City Tour
W.E.B. DuBois Center - After a delightful breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Accra.
The tour will take guests through the administrative and economic districts of Ghana’s capital city. Accra, over 100 years old, features a mix of colonial and modern architecture, reflecting the city’s cultural diversity. Visitors will explore the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, where Dr. Dubois, an academic and civil rights leader, spent two years working on a Pan-African encyclopedia at the invitation of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President. A guided tour of Dr. DuBois’ research library will be provided.
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park - The tour will also include stops at Independence/Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square is a historic site where three ex-military men were shot during a peaceful protest while trying to present grievances to the colonial governor. Nkrumah Memorial Park honors Ghana’s founding father. To the east of the square, guests can view Osu (formerly Christiansborg) Castle, the former seat of the Ghanaian Presidency.
Center for National Culture - For lunch, guests will have the opportunity to taste local Ghanaian cuisine at one of the renowned “chop bars.” A popular choice among tourists is “fufu and light soup,” a starchy dish with a dough-like texture. After lunch, the tour continues to the Arts Center, a large arts and crafts market offering handicrafts from across Ghana and West Africa. Visitors should be ready to use their bargaining skills while exploring the artisan stalls.
Kane Kwei Carpentry Workshop - The sightseeing tour concludes with a visit to the Coffin Makers Shop in Teshie, a suburb of Accra. Here, guests will witness the intricate hand-carving of wooden coffins into unique designs that reflect the occupation, interest, or hobby of the deceased. After a full day, return to the hotel to relax and prepare for a romantic dinner in town. After dinner, guests can either enjoy the city’s nightlife or retreat to the comfort of their hotel.
Slave Castles of Elmina and Cape Coast
Cape Coast Castle - After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Ghana’s Central Region, home to the stunning Cape Coast and Elmina castles. Leaving behind the bustling city of Accra, guests will experience the serene and lush landscape of the Central Region.
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests can check in and settle into their ocean view suite. After lunch, prepare to visit two of Ghana’s most notorious slave castles. The first, Cape Coast Castle, was built in 1653 by Sweden and later taken over by the British, and it houses the West African Historical Museum. The second, Elmina Castle, was constructed by the Portuguese in 1482 and was originally known as St. George’s Castle.
After a day of exploration, return to the hotel to unwind and get ready for a romantic candlelight dinner by the beach. Dinner options include a variety of delectable dishes, from freshly caught seafood to traditional Ghanaian cuisine.

Canopy Walk in Kakum National Park
Kakum National Park - Wake up to a beautiful sunrise on the private beachfront, where breakfast will be served. After breakfast, check out and head to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s remaining tropical rainforests. Kakum spans over 360 square kilometers of diverse and dense vegetation, combining true rainforest and semi-deciduous forest. It is home to over 40 large mammals, 400 bird species, and numerous butterflies, flora, and fauna.
The main attraction is the canopy walkway, consisting of seven bridges stretching 330 meters and suspended 40 meters above the forest floor. Guests can choose to walk the canopy or enjoy a 2-kilometer nature walk through the forest to discover a wide variety of exotic plant species and their medicinal properties. After the hike, guests can opt for lunch or a light snack at the Kakum Rainforest Café. Return to the hotel for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
