Great day in Acapulco - Our guide, Mario, was amazing. We had a full day of seeing all of Acapulco, with a trip thrown in to a silver store for me. He was full of knowledge, not only of Acapulco, but of Mexican and world history. We went from one end to the other, seeing the new, the old and the historic...even the cliff divers. Mario was an exceptional host to us, always taking care of the details. The market was fascinating to drive through. We both feel very privileged to have spent the day on this tour and recommend it anyone looking for a great day in Acapulco.

Cultural 6-Hour Historical & Divers Tour - This was the second tour I took with Rudy and his crew. I took the City Tour two days earlier. Everyone was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Also, everyone was very relaxed and laid back, which I prefer. Everyone was bi-lingual but since I was practicing my Spanish, they accommodated me by speaking as much in Spanish as I wanted. The tour of the market was especially interesting. Alfonso bought small amounts of exotic fruit for us to sample and expertly showed us around. The insights of all the guides regarding the market were invaluable. It would have been impossible to navigate the immense, sprawling market without knowledgeable guides. We took a bonus side trip to visit the Flamingo Hotel, an old haunt of Hollywood stars like John Wayne and Johnny Weissmuller, because one of our number had missed out on going there for some reason on an earlier tour. It was a lovely detour with marvelous vistas.

Awesome Tour of Acapulco - This tour would be awesome for anyone that doesn't know much about Acapulco. We did this tour through "Tour by Van" (Rudy Fregoso), who was so great to work with. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were able to change our tour to a day later as Rudy wanted to be "part of the solution," we certainly appreciated that! Our tour guide was Santiago who was very knowledgeable about everywhere he took us. He was a fantastic guide that showed us all over the city, the Fort of Acapulco, the Cliff divers, along with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant where the food was awesome. This is a tour you don't want to miss out on! Tour by Van (Rudy Fregoso) and guide Santiago are the best.

Acapulco historical tour with cliff divers and municipal market. - We enjoyed the informative tour with Rudy of Tours by Van and his assistant Jesus. Guided through the Mercado Central we tasted local fare and appreciated the variety of fruit and vegetables available.Jesus took us through the Museo Historico de Acapulco showing us the significance of the location in the Spanish Empire and escorted us through Los Flamingos Hotel, a significant location for the Hollywood actors, spanning several decades of the 20th century. Rudy was a compendium of knowledge about the history of the area and provided informative commentary during our tour. We thank both Rudy and Jesus for job well done and highly recommend the service of Tours by Van and Rudy .

A Fabulous Cultural and Historical Day with Rudy and Jesus - Rudy, the owner of Tours by Van, and Jesus, his assistant, were punctual in picking us up at our hotel. Throughout the day they were friendly, polite and attentive to our well-being. Rudy is very articulate in the English language. He has a vast knowledge of Acapulco history so was fabulous at answering our many questions. Jesus always made sure that we were safe during our wonderful walk through the Mercado Central de Acapulco. He accompanied us on our tour of the Acapulco Historical Museum at Fort San Diego as well as at Los Flamingos Hotel. We appreciated our drives outside the tourist routes and the sensory and tasting experience at the Central Market. As very seasoned and world travelers, we particularly loved the fact that we were immersed in the local culture. Thank you Rudy and Jesus for a day well spent. As lifelong learners, we learned a lot.

Great tour - Really good tour from nice guys Rudy and Poncho. Acapulco is a bit rubbish apart from the Bay but the lads did a good job of showing us the best bits at a nice pace. Good information about the place and even though we were taken to the Jewellery store for a tour it really wasn’t a problem buying some silver as it was a pretty good price without it being too much of a hard sell. Well done lads
