Finca El Paraiso CR - Cheese Farm Tour - Animals are pasture-fed and roam freely throughout the day.
It is our vision to continue to operate this farm without the use of pesticides or chemical based fertilizers and to maintain a balance of pasturelands and forest.
We also have sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry on the premises that are all a part of the farm operation. MonteVerde is an area with a rich history in dairy production.

This is a third generation, small scale, sustainable farm located in Monteverde.
Come and see the cows up close and try your hand at milking. Take a tour of the garden, where you will find banana trees, the beginnings of a small scale coffee farm .
You can enjoy an authentic meal featuring the freshly made cheese, hand made tortillas, along with other locally sourced and seasonably available items. This is an opportunity to experience ‘La Pura Vida’ at its finest.

So much fun - the whole family enjoyed it - We booked the tour because our 3 year old daughter loves animals and cheese. The two hours were informative and entertaining. We got to see, feed and pet all the animals, make cheese and tortillas. Thank you Orlando and family!

Family run farm guaranteed for family fun! - This was such a nice, family run ecofarm . We went visiting with our 4 year old daughter and she had the best time (so did we). The first take you around the farm, then you get to feed the baby cows and try milking a cow on your own. The end the experience with making fresh cheese and tortillas that we got to eat as lunch!

Amazing experience, must do in Monteverde - Once in a lifetime experience. You get to interact with a lot of cute farm animals plus their pets (dog and cat). We love it

Fun! - This was among the highlights of our trip. Orlando gave us a tour of the farm. We got to feed a goat and a pig. We got to milk a cow and make fresh cheese! Then we got to have a quesadilla and just spent time chatting. The farm is stunningly beautiful. They have a couple of AirBnB's on property too.
