A breathtaking experience - It was groundbreaking and extremely beautiful. There were 11 different routes varying in length and height. The views were truly breathtaking. There was never a moment when we didn't feel safe. A wonderful experience with a view of exceptional animals along the way.

Scary but amazing - Epic day out. I’m terrified of heights and I only went because the kids wanted to go but I actually enjoyed most of it. This is the biggest scariest zip line but worth the fear.

Night tour Monteverde Extremo Park - Charlie was a fantastic guide who took time to explain everything we came across. We were fortunate enough to be the only two on the NIGHT TOUR which included zip lining in the dark! Highly recommend.

Fantastic fun! - Staff were fantastic and very competent at their jobs. The layout of the zip lines was absolutely brilliant and exciting, it’s the best zip lining trip we have ever taken. Definitely do the superman and Tarzan swing, epic!

Amazing experience - I really enjoyed the Tarzan jump & as I had to get over my fear of stepping into the void. Crew was supportive & fun! Loved the experience!! Even at my advanced age of 54!!

Try before you die - The trail was perfectly organised. Nice crew and good equipment. The trail is long, beautiful and goes fast. I have only one negative. The Tarzan swing is only for people up to 110kg and I only found out at the swing location. Not that it would change anything but I would like to have known on forehand.

amazing high quality experience for night walk and ziplining - We had a great experience with our guide Charlie (his english was great) who showed us all different kinds of animals. Monteverde extremo parks is incredibly professional with pickups and drop offs at our hostel and they make you feel really safe when ziplining. Our tour was just with the two of us but we had an incredible time with Charlie and José. We would really recommend doing the ziplining at night for great views of the city lights and gorgeous skies filled with stars.

Lines were fun, but too many people and too rushed - The ziplines were so fun! I went tandem with my husband twice on long zips. However, WAY too many people. They push you through so quickly it was a bit unnerving when they were clipping you in. More communication is needed. Staff hooking people up were quite impersonal. Safety is so important and they need to take a breath. They were going so fast, I was not yet unhooked and the other person was almost arriving. A tip for shuttle which we weren't advised of: peek at the return shuttle time. We didn't know they had a schedule to return to town and waited an hour and a half to leave. You do not have to leave with the same people you arrived with because they could be an hour behind. A heads up that there is a lot of uphill walking. You are not allowed backpacks or water bottles. They have some purified water at line 8. I don't think I'd recommend going here, considering my comments. I felt so rushed whenever it was my turn which is so unsafe. Consider elsewhere.

Rushed and poor safety - Recommended Extremo park by the hostel we were staying in, on arrival we were put in harnesses with very limited communication with the team. Taken out and given a good brief in English for how to brake, hold the wires and to shout for help. Once on the lines the views were incredible and very high up across the valley. However as the tour went on (not sure if it was due to doing the 2pm tour and staff wanting to finish early) everything felt rushed, which unfortunately on the end superman line resulted in my partner crashing into another person due to the lack of communication between staff. There was no apology from the staff and they just laughed. Once back at the equipment room they gave us photos for free but still no apology. From a safety aspect would not recommend extremo, but if heights, speed and adrenaline is your thing do a canopy tour whilst in monteverde

SAFETY CONCERN, book elsewhere - NOT RECOMMENDED DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. I experienced an unbraked head first crash with the rider in front of me on the “Superman” line because they were sending riders before people were released and brakes reset on the other end. I was lucky to not end up with a broken neck because the rider still on the platform was able to mostly maneuver out of my way even though he was still attached to the line. When I talked to the management about what happened and stressed the need to have people fully off the line before sending the next rider, they seemed neither surprised nor concerned and only intent on getting me to confirm that I wasn’t requesting to see a doctor. In fact, one of them reminded me that “this is why I signed a waiver.” (I responded that I signed the waiver because I assumed they had a plan to keep people reasonably safe). When we suggested they review footage from one of their many cameras, they said the camera on that platform had malfunctioned. This accident could have turned out very badly and was 100% avoidable. I don’t really ever leave bad reviews, it’s not my thing, but given that I left with no sense they were taking the accident seriously or had any plans to avoid similar events, I feel somewhat of a responsibility to let people know.
