Very nice small scale and personal tour - I would really recommend this place when you are looking for a personal coffee and chocolate experience. We had the luck to have a private tour. The guide knew a lot and showed us the whole farm. We could taste as much as we wanted to and even made our own sugarcane juice with fresh lemons from the garden.

Intimate, delicious, fun and informative - We really enjoyed and would highly recommend the coffee and night tour experience here. Knowledgeable, passionate and friendly team from start to finish. They have transportation services available for a small additional fee The experience was intimate and we learnt a lot about coffee, from growth to processing to consumer purchase. Additionally, it was great to hear a local perspective on how we can support positive practices in the industry. The coffee tasting was an absolute delight. We were fortunate on the night tour to see a tarantula, 2 eyelash vipers, an opposum, pacific screech owl, kinkajou, a few adorable sleeping birds including a sleeping toucan, and a few others. The team worked super hard to try and spot as many night creatures for us as they could. Thank you Junior and his team! Can't wait to enjoy our farm-to-cup coffee when we get home and reminisce about the experience.

A very informative, intimate and personal tour through coffee history! - My girlfriend and I had a great time on the Cafe Ancestros coffee tour! Junior was a warm, gracious and very entertaining host, and since we happened to be the only guests that afternoon, we were very lucky to be treated to an intimate and personal tour through the history and methods of coffee production. Junior is very knowledgeable and a great storyteller; he also made the tour very engaging and interactive, which we enjoyed. We learned a lot and took away some useful tips on how to select and prepare our coffee at home. And of course also drank some really tasty coffee! The location is small and rustic, and feels very authentic. It is not a big commercial tour, if that is what you are expecting. We took a walk into the forest to see where they grow the coffee and sugar cane, and we had a short demonstration of how to make fresh sugar cane juice, which was very refreshing, and a lot of fun! We also booked the night tour with Junior on a separate day to explore the forest at night and see some wildlife, which we also really enjoyed; I would definitely recommend booking the two as a package. Thanks again to Junior and the team, you guys are doing a great job and really brightened up our trip :)

A lovely experience - Really enjoyed the coffee tour and sugar cane experience. My knowledge of coffee growing, harvesting and brewing has been greatly expanded. I was able to enjoy several different coffees and loved making the sugar cane juice. The tour was given by Junior who was so knowledgeable. I loved the fact that the farm is quite small and very authentic. I left with a bag of beans and a great memories.
