The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College is one of Europe’s most exquisite interiors, situated in the heart of Greenwich’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Luke Jerram’s remarkable installation, Helios, will be on display in the Painted Hall until March 25, 2025.
Visitors can enjoy a Painted Hall audio guide available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, German, and Japanese, as well as British Sign Language. Alternatively, guided talks about the Painted Hall are offered every 30 minutes from 11 am to 4 pm.
The site boasts a rich history spanning 600 years, including being the birthplace of Henry VIII. It is also Britain’s top heritage film location, featured in popular productions from Bridgerton to Bond.
Tickets include an optional guided tour of the buildings and grounds, departing from the visitor center hourly from 11 am to 3 pm.
Admission also grants access to the Visitor Centre (Discover Greenwich Museum), the Chapel, and the Skittle Alley (typically open from 12 pm to 3 pm), where visitors can try their hand at Victorian bowling.
