Informative tour with wonderful views - Great trip with 2 included tours. We did the bus tour for sunset and the hiking tour in the morning. Both guides were very friendly and knowledgeable - answering any questions we or others in the group had.

Highlight of our trip - We took this tour as a couple w teen daughter. We loved the sunset tour but our favorite was the morning hike. Definitely worth going overnight. We stayed in the 4* accommodation that felt more like a 3 star trying hard to be a 4*. However the view from the hotel was lovely. The bus rides were relaxing. The only recommendation I have is having shorter stops on the rides to and from Meteora and also leaving around 3p instead of 6p on the second day. We sat around for the afternoon at a cafe but would have preferred arriving back in Athens earlier. But those minor details aside—this was an amazing tour and we are so grateful we made the decision to go!

Hiking with the best guide to enjoy the beautiful scenery♡ Absolutely recommended♬ - The arrival date, unfortunately, is earlier this month?! I couldn't see the sunset in the rain of , but I was impressed by the mysterious fog Meteora! On the second morning, we hiked under blue skies with Chris, an experienced mountaineering guide. The trip was a slow climb. history, culture, mountain climbing, listening to Chris's fun guiding, enjoying the amazing scenery, Hiking is the only way to see the monastery towering over the wilderness from various angles from below to above. After a visit to the monastery, we walked down a path in the woods where monks have walked for hundreds of years and thought about history. Most tourists say it's a day trip for a few hours in Meteora, but it's such a waste! This hike was the most amazing experience I had in Greece. Hiking is recommended. By the way, I was worried about toilets because I heard it was a four-hour hike, but I had the chance to walk for about two hours and to visit two monasteries. I think slip-resistant sneakers are better because the way back is a bit slippery than the way up. I sincerely thank my guides Chris and Maria for their great guidance, caring about the safety of the participants throughout!

Wonderful experience - We did this tour in February 2025. The staff at Visit Meteora Travel were excellent. Very responsive to my questions and provided all the information we needed. Our guides for the sunset bus tour (Jim) and the morning hiking tour (Chris) were both excellent. We visited in the off-season so there crowds were non-existent, but the first day was pretty chilly. If you are able, the hiking tour was very enjoyable. It's a pretty good climb so is not for everyone. We were driven from Kalabaka to Delphi with a break at Thermopylae. There is not much to see at Thermopylae, but the drive over the mountains was stunning and Delphi is well worth the visit. We had about 3 hours there which was enough to tour the ruins and see the museum afterwards. I highly recommend Visit Meteora Travel.

Hiking - Before signing up, I hadn't realized how enjoyable hiking could be. Today, I was the only tourist on the hike, and I was fortunate to have Chris as my guide. It felt like having a private tour guide all to myself. He was incredibly patient, humorous, and shared a lot of interesting knowledge along the way. Thanks to him, I got to see many scenic views and plants that I had never encountered before. We had a great time chatting, and during the journey, Chris also took many beautiful photos for me. I think Chris is a very skilled photographer. If I ever return to Meteora, I would definitely choose to go hiking again. Today was an amazing experience.

Meteora a magical place full of charm. - The views and rock formations are exciting, the environment in general is. Both Kalabaka and Kastraki are charming villages. The hiking tourbde was very nice, we could tour in a different way these stone giants and visit some more monasteries than those of the sunset excursion the previous day. Looking forward to going back to climb.

Wonderful trip with stunning view n great people! - I had a wonderful time in Meteora! 1st day: We visited St. Stephan and Rousanou monasteries. It was a sunny day, and we caught an unforgettable sunset! 2nd day: The hiking tour was one of the highlights! Our guide, Chris, was amazing—he took me to hidden gem spots with fewer tourists, where I had chances to enjoy the breathtaking views. My hotel stay in Kalampaka was pleasant, and I had a great sleep. I would highly recommend this tour for first-time visitors who want to immerse themselves in Meteora’s history and natural landscape. As for me, I will definitely be back for rock climbing and more hiking tour in future!

Reccomend for Everyone, Super Knowledgable - We decided to take a trip from Athens to Meteora to explore the historic monasteries and captivating rock formations. Our tour guides Katerina and Chris were amazing. They were both super passionate in their knowledge for the Greek Orthodox religion and the history of Meteora landscape. Katerina led us through the monasteries and really helped us understand the motives behind the hermits and historical figures and Chris was our hiking guide who was really knowledgeable about plants and languistics. Our driver dimitris was super helpful with taking pictures and driving us safely through the mountains. We enjoyed our trip and had a wonderful time. I reccomend them for any future trips to Meteora.

Great experience. Highly recommended - The view was spectacular. We love the history behind it. Our tour guides were great. Both names were Demetri. There were a lot of steps but it was of the great experience when reaching the monasteries.
