Embark on an exciting 6-day hiking and climbing adventure in Peru, known as The Peaks of Ausangate, in the scenic Cordillera Vilcanota. This route is often referred to as the “Camino del Apu Ausangate”, where “Apu” represents the life giver and protector of one of the world’s most untouched mountain ecosystems.

Experience an extraordinary route that unveils a part of Peru relatively undiscovered by tourists. Local communities still maintain a traditional way of life here, largely without the use of several modern amenities. Your journey begins with an early pickup from Cusco via private transportation, then meeting our arrieros and mules at the starting point. They will be with us throughout the trek and climb expedition.

Trip of a lifetime to Peaks of Ausangate - This tour was one of the best adventures I had in my life. The guides Eduardo and Herman are kind, knowledgeable, and were always checking up on me since we were at 16,000+ altitude. They know the terrain very well and we’re giving me history and geography lessons on the trail. We shared many laughs and stories together. Our mountain cook Jaime cooked delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and was always offering me a hot beverage. Pedro our horseman always had my tent ready at the next camp! The sites on and around Ausangate are awe inspiring. There are way less trekkers on this trail than the others, so if you are looking for peace and calm, this is the trek to be on. We had to start very early some days and the. reward was seeing the crimson sky and sunrise. Overall this was a thrilling trek, one that tested my limits, and left me humbled and helped me define who I am. Totally recommend it to any adventure seekers!
