A little gem in the heart of Coruña. - A big thank you for a wonderful experience. The children enjoyed the visit to the market and we had an enjoyable cooking experience afterwards. Congratulations to Ana and David for the original concept that they have developed. Definitely a must do in Coruña when you are visiting.

A unique and very complete experience - Yesterday we had the pleasure of participating in a culinary experience with the wonderful professionals from Pencil & Fork Galicia. After a warm welcome, we were fortunate enough to visit the impressive Plaza de Lugo Market where we could admire the quality products of our land, and then be able to prepare and taste under the direction of our charming hosts, David and Ana. Mention is also deserved by our fellow co-workers, Amparo, José Luis and Antón, who with the different cultures they contributed (Swiss and Ukrainian), we had the opportunity to check the professionalism of our hosts by including a personal recipe from Amparo and José Luis along the way. and David and Ana's good command of languages to make communication easier and more fluid with Antón. The result was a pleasant, varied and tasty meal in an atmosphere that made us feel like family. A unique and very complete experience that we undoubtedly recommend and will repeat as soon as possible.

Cooking in heaven - Very knowledgeable couple who combine teaching and cooking in a unique way. David is a chemist, who applies that approach to cooking. He has you involved in the prep work as well as the cooking. While doing this, we were able to discuss approaches to cooking.

Loved everything about it! - Our absolute favorite excursion we took while on our transatlantic cruise. From start to finish, the hosts were incredibly accommodating and hospitable. The space is so charming! David was so personable and made it a point to get to know us all as we walked to the market, and as we strolled through the incredible market. Cooking with him was so much fun! We learned a lot and can't wait to make this delicious meal at home. (Thanks for sending the recipe) The meal we made was absolutely delicious. It was paired perfectly with a wonderful wine and topped off with the best gluten-free cake. We just had a wonderful time. Afterward, we had some issues with our cell phone and they were so gracious to let us stay for a while afterward and get it straightened out with our phone company. I can't recommend this workshop enough. Thank you so much for inviting us into your special place.

Best cooking class and wonderful hosts - Friends and I just experienced the most wonderful Market visit followed by a fabulous cooking class at the Pencil & Fork in La Coruna Spain. Our hosts were the owners, David and Ana, who were delightful, insightful, and most enjoyable. The visit to the three story market within a few block of their location was so fascinating. The selection of fresh fish and seafood was limitless, as well as meats, cheeses and bakery. After David selected the best ingredients, we returned to their shop to prepare a delicious lunch. We were on a Celebrity cruise of Spain and France, and this was the highlight of our trip. The Pencil & Fork was a 10 minute taxi ride (about $6) from the port. The place is charming and spotless. The seafood lunch was simple to prepare and delicious to eat, accompanied by wine. And after the 4 hour experience, David and Ana suggested other areas of the city to explore (they are just blocks for the sea). If you are ever in this area I highly recommend this experience.

Fantastic - We have a fantastic time with David and Ana. There were 6 people at the event. It started off with a lovely tour of a local fish, met and veg market where David bought the items we were to cook. Fantastic to visit local places which ordinarily you miss when travelling in a place for only 1 day. We cooked delicious food and lovely to meet the other people. The place is beautifully decorated, generous with the wine and food was delicious. A really good couple of hours and great value for money.

A truly wonderful and memorable expereince - We recently joined Anna and David for a wonderful experience, where we had a fascinating tour of the local market. David was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the different products sold there and he bought some wonderful fresh produce to cook later. On our return to their charming bistro, we spend the next few hours, learning how to cook and tasting all this wonderful food. My friend and myself even baked the Tarte de Santiago ! Thank you Anna and David for a wonderful experience and your charming hospitality. It will be something we will be talking about for months. I can honestly fully recommend this tour, and you will NOT be disappointed is spending time with these exceptional hosts

The highlight of our vacation! - This tour was the highlight of our 9 day cruise. The visit to the food market was interesting and fun. Seeing the very freshest fish and seafood (shrimp still wiggling and a large fish winked at me) as we toured the facility and while our host picked out the food for our class. I would not classify this as a technical cooking class. It was more of cooking with friends while enjoying the wine and good company. The paella was divine as were the fresh shrimp - they tasted better than any shrimp I have ever eaten.
