Great time - Knowing this is a preserve we went expecting animal sitings to be hit or miss on our 4 hour safari. But, between luck and our excellent guide and driver we exceeded our expectations. Multiple elephants, water buffalo, wart hogs, dear, crocodiles, marmots, and several beautiful birds. Our guide and driver were fun, friendly, and knowleable with over 8 years guiding in the park.

This was an excellent... - This was an excellent safari. My guide was very knowledgeable about all the different animals we saw. We had a slow start to the morning (nothing to be done about that, animals are animals) but instead of frantically driving around the park desperately looking, guide and the driver took a much more relaxed approached and I was able just to enjoy the scenery and then bam, mid morning we saw so many elephants in all different groupings. We even saw a family of 7 elephant and a little baby, less than a month old. Would definitely recommend, I had a lovely time.

Amazing trip in Udawalawe - Amazing trip with Gimhana as our nature guide. Very knowledgeable about the many animals we saw and very good at spotting them. Highly recommended!

Best safari! - Really good safari with Gimhana! We were a little hesitant at first because many offers included accommodation and an additional safari. However, we didn't want to do this because we had the feeling that these safaris might not be as good as if we had chosen one ourselves. We then wrote to Gimhana and he planned both accommodation and a seven-hour safari for us. The safari was really brilliant. We saw elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, a variety of birds and much more. The safari exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much and we would be happy to do it again.

Perfect safari with excellent guide - The safari with Gimhana was amazing! Previously I thought we would see some elephants in the Udawalawe National Park. But we did not only see a lot of elephants, including families with babies, but also crocodiles, monkeys, deer, a wild boar and many birds. It was fantastic! Gimhana was able to tell us something about all the animals, answered all of our questions and tried to find all the animals we wanted to see. He is a very relaxed driver who knows the park very well and quickly took other routes, so we were alone for a large part of the safari, without other jeeps. The breakfast that Gimhana brought for us was also delicious! Since it's hard to find an accommodation in Udawalawa that doesn't involve going on a safari, Gimhana organized an accommodation for us for a very good price, which was very kind of him. Overall a fantastic experience with a great guide, thank you so much! Absolutely recommended!

Great 4 hour Safari - We did a 4 hour safari with Gimhana and it was brilliant! He clearly has a lot of knowledge of the wildlife and was able to point out birds and other small animals we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Best of all, we saw many different elephant groups with him. If you want a guide who cares about the animals and you want to learn some more about them, then you are in the right place. We would definitely book him again!

Fantastic Safari with our guide Gimhana - We had a great safari at Udawalawe. We saw lots of elephants, deers, crocodiles, monkeys and birds. Also we had an amazing guide who took us to some far corners of the park in the search for elephants! Our guide Gimhana, He has a deep knowledgeble of animals and plants and answered all of our questions. His ability to get away form the crowds give you a unique experience with animals. I would thoughly recommend booking with him.

Wonderful safari, best guide - We had a great time with this safari, best guide ever. Gimhana gave us a lot of info about the animals and the park. All our questions were answered really well, he speaks perfectly English. There are some safaris arranged by smaller hotels/ home stays were the guide doesnt speak clear English so this is a big plus. Even though there is a big drought problem this season in Sri Lanka, we still saw a lot of animals. Gimhana really took an effort to show us all we hoped to see. Even leopard footprints :) Money well spent, thanks a lot Gimhana!

A must do! - Gimhana is a great tour guide! We saw a lot of animals and has a lot of knowledge about the animals to be found. He was very patient and made sure we got the best out of our tour! We took a 4 hour tour and it was worth every penny! Even after the tour when we ran into an elephant on the edge of the park he stopped and gave us time to enjoy this beautiful animal. We will never forget this experience, thank you so much! Highly recommended!
