Great - I arrived in Sri Lanka without much of a plan and was quickly convinced by a USP rep that a driver would be an efficient way to see the country. My 7 day tour went from Kandy > Ella > Kandy (again) > Sigiriya > Trincomalee. During this week, I got to experience many wonderful things Sri Lanka has to offer, including many I wouldn’t have known about without having this service. One of my favourite parts was the elephant safari at Hurulu Eco Park where I saw 40+ wild elephants during the 2 hour Jeep safari (safari ticket price not included). Abey was my driver and he is a delightful and kind person. Abey was always early, and got me everywhere safely, for which I am grateful. Lots of smiles and laughs were shared throughout our week together. Thank you for everything, Abey!

Solo traveller in Sri Lanka April 2024 - I hadn’t planned on having a driver but met Prasanna at Colombo train station. He put together a package with a driver, Abbie, for 6 days. I trained to Kandy and was picked up and taken to the botanical gardens and then dropped to my accomodation. The next day Abbie took me to Sigiriya Rock and Dabulla temple .The day after we went to Ella via the tea plantations and train from Nuaraeliya to Ella. We toured Nine Arches bridge , Adam’s peak and temples around Ella, then to Thissmaran after an afternoon safari in Yala National Park. Abbie then dropped me to my accomodation at the beach. Abbie was a great driver.I stayed out of Ella and he kindly waited for me to have dinner one night and picked me up and dropped off another. He was patient and good fun. Though a little pricy I was happy to pay . It made my travelling solo at 64 so much easier. Thank you .

Super cool organized tour with Chandimal! - We booked a five-day tour with a private driver very spontaneously. At first we were a bit skeptical and wanted to do everything on our own. But we were given very good advice and it sounded very reliable, so we decided to book a tour. And it was absolutely worth it! We had a great and fun time with Chantinal. He showed us and explained a lot and after all that time it was just super relaxing for us not to have to worry about anything and just be taken from A to B. We would book this tour again and again! Bravo! Dilruk and USP Lanka Tours - We where planning to trip our own, but if you have a plan allways comes something. So we tried to buy tickets Colombo to Habarana and asked accedentally from USP Lanka tour worker to help us and he helped us and also tell us about reallly good oppurtunitie to use their driver. He didnt force to choose them, he was nice and we gladly made our trip a little bit easier. So we traveled by train to Habarana and after that we had our driver Dilruk. He thought with us what to explore, was allways helpful and ready to change his plans to make things we wanted to do. He was like a bodyguard. And plan manager. And the man who is one of Sri Lanka :) we are very thankful to USP Lanka tours and to Dilruk (who you can allways trust)

11 days by car and driver in Sri Lanka from Anuradhapura to Tangalle - For 11 days we had a car with a very excellent driver and thus got the most out of our days in Sri Lanka. Both on the stretches between the cities and in the cities, our driver, Abi, was excellent at laying out a program, stopping when there was something interesting. Everything went perfectly, according to the plan we had made with Mr. Fernando in the office in Colombo. In particular, I would like to again highlight our driver Abi's great helpfulness, precision, kindness and smile. In addition, absolutely careful and safe when driving. And in addition to the agreed program, he was helpful with good suggestions and ensured, among other things, for a trip to a village where we have the opportunity to participate in cooking

Good experience - We did a round trip in Sri Lanka for two weeks. We had a driver for around one week, he picked us up in Kandy. The deal also included train tickets from Nanuoya to Ella, which was very nice since we had not booked them in advance. We had a good experience with having a driver, in that way we were much more flexible, and we also got some guiding on the way. We would recommend it!

Guide experience visiting Sri Lanka - Pleasant experience. Practical for traveling without luggage and a significant time saving. High price for the service knowing that in Sri Lanka you can stay for 2 to 3 weeks for the same price. Also at the end the driver who asks for a "tip" I found that a bit average.

Lovely but expensive - We got this tour at the Train Station in Colombo. Fernando the owner of the tour company walked up to us and asked if we needed help at the tourist center for the train. We needed to have printed versions of our train tickets so we went inside with him. Originally all our trip was planned out and we were planning on taking taxis or public transportation from one place to another. Fernando told us this would be very difficult and much more expensive than taking his driver, who would bring us to all the places we wanted to visit and more. We had 15 minutes left before our train and felt we had to make a quick decision so we ended up taking the tour at 190,000 rupees. The price felt really expensive for what we ended up getting in the tour. We got Sachin as a driver, he met us in Dambulla and accompanied us to Mirissa for a total of 7 days. He offered a good experience, however, when calculating the « big drives » we only really needed a driver for about 3 days. Most of the activities we did in Kandy and Ella were walkable distances or could have been attained by tuktuk for very very cheap. Although we did visit many great places, nothing (other than a driver and gas) is really included in the 190,000 fee, you still have to pay for all activities, guides, and the safari in Udawalawe. Although Sara, our Safari Jeep Driver was a great driver with plenty of knowledge, we would have had to pay extra to get a tour guide during the Safari and the Safari was already 24,000 for 2 people. Basically, this tour is a good option if you aren’t struggling financially and if you want to have a turn-key, really easy trip. On the other hand, if you want to be more economical and are used to getting around on your own, you can easily do this whole trip on your own without a driver, hotels often offer shuttles or taxis from one destination to another and the bus and train system is fairly easy to use (we can say from experience because our trip was 17 days total, so for 10 days we got around without a driver).

Excellent driver, be cautious with the company - We would give our driver Sachin a 5 star review. He was friendly, punctual and a careful driver. He was also incredibly kind with my mum when we over estimated how difficult the Sigirya climb would be. Our experience with head office is a little different. We felt that they over promised on what they could deliver and then charged us additional fees for what was already an over priced tour. I would still recommend this tour and would consider using them again, however, make sure you clearly communicate your expectations and set your itinerary before negotiating a price. Do your own research and don’t rely on the company to tell you where to visit.
