Best Tour Ever - Tackling Kilimanjaro can be daunting, Kilisa made it possible for us. Our guides, Abraham, Alfonse, and Bacarri were the best possible guides. When we'd think we couldn't make it, they made sure we did. I highly recommend this company. They may be small, but they are local. It is important to support local, start here.

Tanzania Dream Tour, Kilimanjaro + Coffee Village + Safari + Ol Doinai - After comparing many travel agencies online and talking to the boss Naick for a long time, I finally chose Kilisa. There are several main reasons for choosing Kilisa: 1. The response was very timely and they never tired of answering all kinds of questions I asked. 2. The price was very reasonable. 3. The itinerary was also very detailed. There were three of us in the group, and the trip was about two weeks, divided into four parts: The first week was the Kilimanjaro Machame 7-day trek. After arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport, someone picked us up and sent us directly to the hotel. On the way, they helped us to apply for phone cards and took us to exchange shillings. After arriving at the hotel, the two guides briefly explained to us the information for the next day's climbing and helped us clean our backpacks. We set off directly the next morning. The guides Bakari and Alphonce were both great. They explained the various animals, plants and attractions we encountered along the way. The campsites we chose every day were great and the scenery was particularly beautiful. Friends who come to Kilimanjaro must choose the Machame Whiskey Route. The difficulty is slightly higher than the Coke Route, but the scenery is particularly beautiful. We stayed in the rainforest on the first day and Shira cave camp on the second day. The scenery at Shira cave camp is especially amazing. You can probably see the beautiful sea of clouds and sunset. The route for the next few days is exactly the same as the Coke Route, but the first two days are really simple. The 4-5 hour journey is not very steep. There are scenery along the way, and there are very few people. In the next few days, due to the reasonable arrangement of the guide, we set off half an hour earlier every day to avoid the peak period and it was relatively easy on the way. At the same time, we also reserved a lot of time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. If we are tired, the guide and the porter will help with the backpack. The food every day is also good, which is completely beyond expectations. I thought I would just eat casually on the mountain, but I didn’t expect the chef to have recipes from many countries, and the lunch and dinner are not repeated every day. The final climb to the top was relatively smooth. Although one of my friends had severe altitude sickness and kept retching from the 5,000-meter altitude, he successfully climbed to the top with the help of the guide. After reaching the top, we saw the sunrise and the sea of clouds. Finally, Bakari took me to see the glaciers on the mountain up close. It was amazing! After climbing Kilimanjaro, we went to the Coffee tour. Although the coffee village was only for one day, we thought it was just a casual visit. The guide Nixon who led us to the coffee village gave us a surprise. He explained the local customs and customs along the way, and went to the waterfall to rinse (be sure to bring a pair of slippers, the stones are too hard to put your feet!), and the coffee making experience was also very good and joyful! The coffee made in the end tasted amazing to me, a coffee layman. It was a very fulfilling day. Then there was a 4-day Safari, but 4 days for Safari was too rushed. Everyone must reserve more time for Safari. 5 days or more is best, or skip the previous park and go directly to Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Although we saw almost all the animals, the daily schedule was very tight. We spent more than 8 hours on two days. We must leave two more days for Serengeti. I regretted staying in Serengeti for only one day. You can choose to stay in tents or cabins for Safari. Cabins are more expensive. I planned to stay in tents at first, but fortunately I changed to cabins temporarily. The cabins we stayed in during those days were very good, especially the cabins in Serengeti. At night, you can hear lions and various animals roaring next to you (very safe, no worries). It is an unforgettable experience to get close to nature. If possible, I would like to stay in Serengeti for a few days next time. Then we went to the small-scale Lengai Volcano, which is highly recommended. Although it was close to the rainy season when we went there, we didn’t see the sunrise after climbing to the top and the wind was very strong, but on the way down the mountain, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley of East Africa from the mountain, which is comparable to oil paintings. You must choose the dry season to see the sunrise and the volcanic eruption. After coming down from the mountain, we went to creek tracing. The stream seeped out from the underground river from the rift valley. At the end of the stream was a waterfall. The water temperature was just right for swimming. The water was also very clean and all underground water. After the creek tracing, we went to the Natron Lake to see the flamingos. It was also very shocking. Millions of flamingos gathered by the lake to form a pink ocean. It was not an exaggeration at all. It was an ocean of fans. The last day was also very fulfilling. The last morning, we were sent to the airport to go home. Our entire itinerary was arranged by Kilisa. From leaving the airport to boarding the plane to go home, everything was arranged very well. Every employee and guide of the travel agency was very friendly and enthusiastic. It is definitely right to find Kilisa when playing in Tanzania. You don’t have to worry about anything.

Incredible Kilimanjaro experience with an amazing team - If you’re like us and can’t decide which tour operator to go with for Kilimanjaro then look no further - these are the guys that you need to book with!!! We had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to write a review of our time and give this team the credit that they deserve. During the planning stages Naick was extremely quick to respond to all of our emails and made sure all of our questions were answered. We opted for the 7 day Machame route which gives enough time for acclimatisation, as well as a great variety of views over the week. Unfortunately when we landed in Kilimanjaro, we realised that my luggage had not arrived. One of the Kilisa team were waiting at the airport to pick us up and so came through to take care of the administration for us - removing all the stress from us! :) We had planned on starting our hike the next day, but with no luggage we thought this would be impossible - but in true Kilisa style, they had everything covered and were able to give me all the equipment I needed to start the hike on time. A note that the quality of the equipment they hired was good and I’d recommend if you’re limited on space, or forget something then they will have it for you to rent at really reasonable prices. The hike itself was incredible - We had two tour guides, Good Luck and Oscar who were AWESOME - they really knew their stuff about the mountain, pointing out different wildlife and plants along the way. They made us feel completely safe at all times, adapting the pace to our needs and keeping us entertained with songs and stories on the ascents. The food and drinks provided were always delicious, and there was lots of it! You won’t go hungry :D And we can’t forget the porters who are the true superhero’s of Tanzania - it wouldn’t have been possible without them. Whilst I was hiking, Kilisa had been liaising with the airline and were able to have my bag delivered to the mountain which made me so happy to have all my personal belongings again. We would 100% recommend Kilisa tours for anyone planning a trip to Tanzania, they were professional, responsive, reputable and went above and beyond to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime. Asante Sana!

Our time in Tanzania - I don’t think this trip would have been so memorable if it weren’t for kilisa. They made this trip an incredible experience and one that I’ll never forget! They were the reason we made to the top of Kilimanjaro and the reason we saw a cheetah hunt in the Serengeti! They are experienced and incredibly kind and accommodating! I highly recommend you choose kilisa!

Tough climb, more than worth it - Klimbing Kilimanjaro with Kilisa hasn't been anything but a pure blast. And oh boy, it's incredibly how strong and lovely these guys are. Next to the marvelous scenery (and the suffering up there, lol), I was rewarded with a feast every night at camp. I don't know how the cook managed to pull it off, but from day one until getting back down safely, every day he worked his magic to serve something special. Heck, on the last day he even managed to bake a frigging cake. If you're looking for a very professional team, great food, and an overall astonishing experience, go with Kilisa. P.s: book the poop tent, you can thank me later.

I would highly recommend Kilisa for Mt. Kilimanjaro climb - I contacted top 10 ranked agencies for my 7 day private Machame route climb and Kilisa(owner Naick) was very responsive and offered me the best price. Nickson and guide Livingston arrived in the hotel the afternoon before the hike to brief and look at all the items I needed for the trek. Livingston along with the cook and porters were all instrumental to my reaching the Uhuru peak and coming down safely. I had delicious meals every day. Livingston made sure to check the oxygen level and general health everyday before going to bed. Some of the porters would come back after setting up the tents to carry my day pack while I was still an hour or 2 away from everyday destinations. When i was climbing down from the peak, they climbed up an hour and half or so to welcome me with fruit juices and carried me for the last hour as I had trouble walking because of my knees. I cannot appreciate enough their help. Their main goal is to help clients reach the peak and complete the climb successfully.

Impressed with Kilisa Service - I just returned from Kilimanjaro after reaching to the Summit via Machame Route 7 days and 5 days Safari with Kilisa. I live in Netherlands and Once I reached Kilimanjaro I met Naick ,who is really good person and felt me comfortable in any situation. He proposed me to join TopClimbersexpedition for the climb and I joined them without any hesitation. The experience with TopClimber was really nice from day 1 to day 7 ,I really thanks to Naick. I reached to the top of Africa on 1st Jan 2020 and on 2nd Jan I came to Moshi. On 3rd Jan I started the safari with Kilisa.Naick informed me that there were no client during those days and confirmed me that I will do the safari alone,no change in plans. So you can imagine how wonderful when you are enjoying safari alone. As photography is my passion ,I got plenty of scope to stop the vehicle for photography.I would like to thanks Naick for this arrangement and fulfilled all his promise. I would suggest recommend Kilisa if you are thinking to climb Kili and safari as well. Regards, Avi
