FULL DAY MAASAI MARA

Maasai Mara National Reserve - At around 7:00 am after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. At midday, You will have picnic lunch in the park which is provided by us. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara river.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna

Mara River - This is the sight where the great wilderbeest migration takes place, where one million wilderbeest move back and forth from serengeti to maasai mara

MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU

Lake Nakuru - Breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru National park arriving in good time for lunch at the camp later afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake on the edges of Nakuru town. The lake is world famous as home to millions of flamingos. The number of flamingos depends on the water level which determines the quantity of algae on which the birds feed. Flamingos are known to migrate to other Rift Valley lakes whenever the water level is low. The National Park surrounds the lake and was gazetted to protect the colony of flamingos as well as provide sanctuary for endangered species such as the rhino. There are about 25 white and black rhinos, one of the largest concentrations in the country. Predators are also residents to this park while Rothschild’s giraffe have been trans-located into the park for safety.

Just as the name says “A Perfect Safari” for us - Our trip with Perfect Safaris was ….well all I can is for us it was perfect from beginning to end! We started with three nights in the Masai Mara with game drives each day, usually an early morning start when more of the animals and certainly the big cats are moving around. Next we travelled to Lake Nakuru for only the one night but with more game drives we saw lots of the elusive white Rhino 🦏 Hippos 🦛 and a huge gathering of pink flamingos 🦩 as well as a large collection of other bird life, giraffe 🦒 and elephants 🐘. Finally we travelled to Amboseli for two night and more extensive game drives and plenty of excellent animal sightings many at very close quarters 😀 The communication before our trip with George & Elizabeth the owners of this small very personal business was excellent and reassuring at each step of the way. What took our Safari experience to the next level is without doubt our driver and guide William. As a driver we felt safe in his vehicle even on roads that were often testing and difficult. As a guide William was outstanding friendly and professional at all times, always smiling and happy to pass on his vast knowledge and experience of the areas we visited and birds and animals we encountered on the way. Nothing was too much trouble and William was always enthusiastic to go the extra distance to ensure our experience was special and most memorable. A huge thank you to William, George and your staff. 😁

The Best Safari - This trip was AMAZING! George was our tour guide for 7 days. He made everything perfect for us and did an excellent job. I ask tons of questions and if he didn’t know, he found out for us. My friend and I (30 year old women from the US) traveled all through Kenya with George. We loved every minute and each day was better than the one before. I would recommend this trip to everyone who wants to see the beauty and wilds of Kenya. We saw tons of animals, planned personalized excursions (we like hiking so we went on several hikes with Masai guides because we were so close to the game parks) and felt safe in covid times. Every park we went to holds a special place in my trip memories- we even saw a cheetah hunt! Incredible- you should go today!

Kudos to Perfect Wilderness 7 day tour! - My adult daughter and I had a great weeklong safari with Perfect Wilderness! George Mumba was our guide and he took care of everything, from the time we were picked up at our hotel in Nairobi until dropoff back at the hotel. Mumba, aka George, is a teacher by education/training and has been a guide for a long time. It was evident from the beginning that teaching is his passion, and he answered all our questions including animals, ecology, history, tribes, and government. My daughter, a photographer, was able to get tons of close up pictures of all the animals, especially all of the baby animals present during our September timeframe. In addition to all the baby animals, the highlights included the wildebeest crossing in Masai Mara, the bike ride safari in Hell's Gate (parts of which Lion King are modeled after), the Masai village visit, and closeup large elephant herds and a lion/hyena pack standoff in Amboselli. I highly recommend Perfect Wilderness and George Mumba for your Kenyan safari!

7 day safari to MASAI MARA, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboselli national park - Thanks to Perfect Wilderness, we've had an enjoyable tour, well managed despite a vehicle breakdown and a flat tyre. We were met at the appointed times and escorted throughout the tour. The driver guides were generally happy to scout for animals and took us to places where they were spotted. In particular I'd like to mention Perfect Wilderness driver guides 'Black' Santa and Albert. Santa was informative, humorous and made our journey enjoyable. Albert managed to get us to see the animals at close quarters at Amboselli and was very helpful especially on the last day when we expressed a desire to do some shopping. To top it all, Director George Mumba, made it a point to meet us and say hello on our last day which added a personal touch! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Perfect Wilderness Tours And Travels. Arthur

Fantastic experience from start to finish! - We booked our 7 day trip with Perfect Wilderness through a travel agency in the US. Once they put us in touch with Perfect Wilderness, everything went very smoothly and was well organized. Lodging was very suitable, with AA Lodge in Amboseli stealing the show - top notch place for a budget resort. The first parts in Masai Mara and Nakuru were group safaris, which I believe are contracted out to other drivers with pop-top vans. Our drivers were great, especially Jack in Masai Mara- we saw all of the Big 5 in one day! The rest of the tour in Naivasha/Hell’s Gate and Amboseli was private with two EXCELLENT guides from Perfect Wilderness- Santa and Sammy. Both guys were absolutely first rate, very knowledgeable and friendly. We had great conversations about wildlife, Kenyan culture, and history. At Amboseli we swapped to a very nicely appointed Land Cruiser with all the amenities- comfy bucket seats, wifi, and charging power for our electronics. Highlights of the trip were spotting rare black rhinos in Masai Mara, biking through Hell’s Gate, and up-close encounters with lions and elephants with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. We even saw two elephants mating- unforgettable experience!
