Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Today, prepare yourself for an encounter with the amazing Mountain Gorillas.Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both Mountain Gorillas and chimpanzees - the only forest in Africa which can make this claim in fact. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds.
The gorilla tracking time is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. It may take 2 hours up to 5 hours or more and you should be prepared to walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas.

Medicinal plants and their usage are pointed out as well. Guests are finally invited to the sacred Ngarama Cave, once home to the Batwa King, where the women of the community perform a sorrowful song which echoes eerily around the depths of the dark cave, and leaves guests with a moving sense of the richness of this fading culture.
