Additional Information

Our exhilarating 5-day trip of white water rafting in Jinja is a valuable treat for visitors in Uganda. Situated in eastern Uganda, Jinja is 85km from the country’s capital, Kampala. Founded in 1907, Jinja is the second biggest town in Uganda and was once its industrial heartland. Jinja is also home to the point where Lake Victoria releases its water into the mighty Nile River, also known as the source of the Nile, adding to the day’s excitement.

Additionally, the adventure includes a visit to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park situated in the southwestern region of Uganda. Nestled near the lush, exquisite, volcanic mountains of Kisoro, close to Rwanda, this park’s distinct feature is its population of mountain gorillas, which attract global tourists. In addition to the mountain gorillas, the park is home to golden monkeys and a variety of bird species. The journey from Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to Kisoro by road takes about 6-8 hours, while a flight reduces the journey to approximately 2 hours.
