Six day Nigeria tour. - So, if there was an option to do so, I would give a 4.5 star rating. The vast majority of the trip went pretty smoothly (which is not that common in Africa). My guide Vincent was really great, easy to get along with, always on time, and helped me out quite a few times when things weren't working out as I would have liked. There was some miscommunication on the portion of the trip in Abuja and at the very end of the trip which I wasn't so happy about but overall, well organized and willing to work with you if you have custom wishes/interests.

Fantastic: Lagos sights and foods - I really really enjoyed my custom tour of Lagos and Abeokuta with Confidence. He's incredibly professional and acted in my best interest at all times. In addition to seeing the main sights of the area, I also wanted to taste as many dishes from Nigerian cuisine as possible. Confidence was super flexible and not only managed to find us every single Nigerian dish and snack to try (DELICIOUS!), but he also arranged an awesome cooking lesson with his chef friend when we visited a nearby city. Speaking of which, he has connections in every corner of West Africa -- not only for cooking lessons, but also for the tricky parts, like borders, where knowing people can really come in handy. Also, his team is great: even if you end up stuck in Lagos traffic you'll have a good time with him and his driver. I 100% recommend Confidence. What a great week!

Amazing experience - Confidence from Ucomeafric was really good. Responsible, competent and confident as his name. A driver Wiseman was wise for Nigerian roads and this is also important for Lagos.

The best guide in lagos Nigeria - Lagos is an exciting place to visit, but almost overwhelming. Confidence Aguiyi safely negotiated the roads to minimize our "go slow" times and to get me to all of the best places comfortably. He provided useful background info to what I was seeing and experiencing. I visited Lagos many years ago, and I would have had a much better experience if I had someone like Confidence available then. Confidence speaks clear English and is fluent in the other languages of Lagos. I would highly recommend his services.

NOT A JOURNEY, AN ADVENTURE! - Ucomeafrika was founded by Nigerian brothers Confidence and Evans Aguiyi, and provides tours all over West Africa, particularly Ghana and Nigeria. They are passionate about their career and always looking to improve. Their inside knowledge of their native Nigeria is very much appreciated in places like the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. When you tour with them, you will experience a wide spectrum of Nigerian life, whether in a group or solo. My visit included Lagos, Abeokuta, Benin City, and Ibadan. Here is my list of "mosts and leasts:" 1. Most spectacular: Nike Art Gallery and Obasanjo Presidential Library (human-created); Olumo Rock (naturally created) 2. Scariest traffic: Benin City 3. Biggest surprise: meeting royal descendant HRH Ekpen Kelvin Edigin of Benin City 4. Most informative: Benin City National Museum 5. Best accommodations: Radisson Ikeja 6. Best food: Radisson Ikeja 7. Least interesting: Ibadan ITA Forest Reserve (but still okay) 8. Worst accommodations: ITA Forest Reserve lodgings (not recommended!) 9. Most annoying: constant restrictions on photography even outdoors in public spots 10. Most fascinating, Fela Kuti's New Afrika Shrine and home. 11. Best merchandise: brass and bronze works, Benin City 12. Worst "roads": outskirts of Benin City In some areas between the most prominent landmarks, I would have liked a little narrative, since I enjoy trivia, e.g. The market we're passing is called X, and it's oldest/biggest/tiniest market in West Africa/Nigera etc.. Also, I like to be oriented: This is the southern/northern/northeastern part of the city/state/country and we are headed west/east etc. All in all a great experience with some hitches. I know the Aguiyi brothers are looking forward to the day they can get a larger car for the solo tours!
