Great and varied 3 day tour - It was a beautiful tour, where we thoroughly enjoyed the ride from Tamale to Mole NP. With Isaac you have the best guide you could wish for. He talks a lot and arranges everything in consultation with you. He had a good car with wonderful air conditioning. And upon arrival there were already 2 bottles of water ready. Mole Motel is in need of renovation. The air conditioning did not work in the 1st room and the shower in the 2nd. But other than another very expensive Lodge, there is no other alternative in Mole NP. The food, staff and atmosphere were good at Mole Motel. I highly recommend the 3 day tour.

Great solo tour to Mole - I had the best time with Isaac! Grassroots Tours coordinated an incredibly smooth and relaxing trip for a solo traveller like me. Isaac was kind and enthusiastic and had great answers to literally every single question I peppered him with throughout my trip (he is so knowledgeable about everything!). Everything was easy - the booking process, the pickup, the tours themselves. We were able to get up very close to elephants and it was also really interesting to see the local eco-village. I had a great time and would recommend this to other travellers, solo or otherwise. Thanks again Issac!

Wonderful in every way! - From start to finish, everything was perfect! We were a family of 8, 4 adults and 4 children. Isaac was wonderful in explaining things and answering all the questions. Our driver, Mohammed, did an excellent job, too. They were very accommodating as we prearranged to add in a stop of our own. I would definitely use them again.

Ghana is Gorgeous - Highly recommend this tour. Experienced exceptional customer service from airport pickup to timely return for our departing flight. We met two Grassroot guides; each very friendly and knowledgeable. The park guides who led the walking and jeep safari were also friendly and helpful. Our tour started with a visit to a huge art installation, Red Clay in Tamale. Such a nice change from the museums in Accra. This one gave each piece plenty of space to be viewed and awestruck by size and sounds. Or the appreciate the absence of sound and simply hear the guide's presentation of different pieces. The hotel accommodations place you at a scenic spot for viewing a vast water feature which several types of large animals frequent. You can enjoy a meal while bird watching or take a swim to cool off in the pool adjacent to the dining area. The tours allow you to view several different kinds of antelope in the wild. Enjoyed seeing them maneuver swiftly through the open savanna as well as navigate the watering hole with its patient crocodiles. Elephants, baboons, a variety of bird species and warthogs show up the most on this tour. The hippos are on another tour, several hours away by car, as the Mole NP is massive. The quiet river safari, under a changing tree canopy, followed by a guided tour of a small village on the park’s border added a peaceful ending to the onsite tour. Our guide took us to the oldest mosque in Ghana where we received a private tour of the structure. Very informative. Truly appreciated our guide’s (Issac) willingness to adjust our tour. For example, we skipped the Tamale market because we had no desire to purchase any items except a hand made, straw hat. Issac showed us a small store adjacent to the mosque site where I found the perfect hat. We also appreciated Isaac’s ability to safely navigate the road between Tamale and the park. Not an easy thing to do.

Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at Mole Nationalpark - We had a fantastic time at Mole Nationalpark with Grassroots! Everything was organized very well and we had very friendly guides. The atmosphere at Mole Nationalpark is very peaceful and calming. We enjoyed watching various animals and beautiful landscapes during both walking and jeep safaris. Also visiting the traditional village close by was very exciting!

Highly recommend - Had a phenomenal experience with David of Grassroots Tours. Itinerary was a perfect balance of safari (on jeep and foot), cultural activities, and downtime to enjoy the scenery at our accommodation. David was an engaging guide, brought a great deal of local knowledge of the wildlife and communities, and had relationships with many of the park staff and neighboring villages. Grassroots was also proactive in communicating to ensure we were prepared and the logistics were seamless. The safari experience in Mole itself was also excellent. This is a quieter park (only a handful of other groups were staying in our lodging), ensuring a quiet and uncrowded experience. The lodging is also overlooks a gorgeous valley with natural sunsets, and boasts a swimming pool and solid food service.

Great tour with Grassroots in Mole National Park, Ghana - I had a very special tour with Grassroots in Nov 2023. I booked this tour via the website and expected that I will join a larger group. It was actually only me in the tour with a Land Cruiser and a private tour guide cum driver! His name is Issacs and he is excellent guy; very punctual and knows the tour very well. He picked me up from Tamale Airport and traveled with me for three days and sent me to the airport again to catch up my international connecting flight in Accra to go back home! The Grassroots tour CEO, Micheal was very responsive to my messages via WhatsApp when I asked about the tour. He was generous to accept my booking without deposit because I did not have a PayPal account so I paid when I arrived. Everything was excellent with Grassroots Tour! I strongly recommend you to book directly with Grassroots if you visit Ghana and want to visit Mole National Park or other tours. Thank you for your trustworthy and valuable service. An excellent safari experience - We had a really excellent time on the 3 day Mole Park Safari. David, our guide, was excellent. Knowledgeable, calm and very informative. The guide at the park, Abdul, was also fabulous. We did an afternoon safari, a walking safari, visits to various places in and around Mole and Tamale including the eco village, oldest Mosque in Ghana, a village tannery and an art exhibition complex. we also saw a huge range of animals and birds including elephants, antelope and Patras monkeys. We cannot recommend this tour more. The lodge, though basic, is also a lovely place to stay and the food and views are superb.

Best experience with expert guide! - I’ve been to Ghana 3x and there’s no one else I trust like I do Grassroot tours. We decided last minute to do the safari in Mole and Isaac and Michael were so accommodating. Isaac made sure everything was perfect and was constantly updating us. He always made sure we were taken care of and I felt super safe with him! He even drove us around extra to see more elephants and baboons since he knew we were so excited to see them! I was so grateful we booked with them, Isaac is super knowledgeable and made the trip SO MUCH FUN!! I work for a travel group and we send 200 teenagers to Ghana every year and there’s a reason we always send them to Grassroot Tours! They’re the BEST!!
