On arrival at Hluhluwe Imfolozi, which is 3 hours away, we jump into a 4x4 Game Drive to experience some exciting game viewing with an experienced game guide who gives us the history of Hluhluwe and all sorts of animals which can be found here including Africa’s Big 5. \n\nHluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve set in the heart of Zululand where Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhinoceros) roam the flourishing savannah. Established in 1895 this is the oldest park in South Africa and encompasses over 98 000 hectares of beautiful African landscape. \n\nSt Lucia - After the game drive, we take a lunch break. We could do some self drives in this game reserve after lunch. in late afternoon we depart and head to St Lucia, some 45 minutes away. \n\nSt Lucia is the town situated in the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park area. St Lucia is the most visited town in South Africa for people wanting to see hippos. It is a world heritage site, from wetlands to Savannah grasslands to the abundance of wildlife that roam the area. It is one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa. This is where we spend the 2 nights.
