MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY
High Atlas Mountains - Early departure from Marrakech crossing the Col Tichka (the highest pass in the Atlas Mountains) and crossing the High Atlas, where we will discover remote Berber villages camouflaged in the landscape.
Ouarzazate - Then we will continue to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. Visit of the kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a jewel of the region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a fortified town with beautiful battlemented and decorated towers, one of the most beautiful kasbahs in the Atlas region in which they have been filmed and they shoot a multitude of films such as Gladiator, Lwauren de Arabia, Babel…
Valley of the Roses - We will continue along the road of the Thousand Kasbahs passing through the Valley of the Roses to reach our destination, the Dades Valley.
DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
Gargantas del Todra - After breakfast we will head to the desert through one of the most spectacular places in Morocco: the Todra Gorges. A place to walk and discover its impressive and natural rocky walls with more than 200 meters high, we will have time to take a walk through the gorges and then continue to Merzouga passing through Erfoud, city of fossils.
Merzouga Desert - Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will change the 4x4 vehicle for the dromedaries. We will make a beautiful trip entering the dunes of Merzouga in a journey of approximately one and a half hours, to the Berber camp, in the heart of the desert, among the largest dunes in all of North Africa “Erg-Chebbi”. We will experience one of the best sunsets that nature can offer us from the top of the dunes and we will enjoy some of the most beautiful starry skies in the world. We will be welcomed at the camp with traditional Berber tea, enjoying a dinner to the rhythm of traditional live drum music and we will sleep in haimas (Berber tents), enjoying the impressive desert sky.
