Great tour agent with reasonable price - We had a wonderful holiday organised by Tourist Jordan. We didn't pay for a private tour but ended up with one, which we didn't expect. Our driver Awni took us around in a van with just 4 of us. He was really good, not just a driver but he also explained things about Jordan to us which wasn't really part of his duty. We had 3 different local guides while we were there. A representative from the company called us almost daily to check on us and kept us updated with detail. We travel from Dead Sea, Amman, Jerash and Wadi Rum and all those places are amazing. In spite of the war in their neighbour countries, it felt very safe there. I noticed there are police and army at all tourist site entrances.

Avoid! - Avoid this company. My trip was a total mess. I booked with tourist jordan aka tourist Israel a three day tour starting at the dead sea, ending in aqaba. The website looks very nice, but don't be fooled. I joined at the dead sea and there was right from the beginning confusion about the meeting time. When the driver arrived we went to aqaba to meet the group, but they had already left. So we went to Wadi Rum and waited till 5 before we even met the guide who was clearly not able to manage all the people. We didnt have a lunch break. The group we joined was very big. There was not enough space in the jeep for the tour around Wadi rum and we saw only very little of it. Shame, because it is really beautiful. The beduine camp was nice. Then we went to Petra, the tour was overbooked, so the guide had to sit on the floor in the bus. On the way the bus drove at one point on the wrong side of the road. We stopped in a tourist trap shop and arrived in Petra around 11 and it took very long for hotels and entry tickets to be arranged. The tour in Petra was a joke and I was asked to pay 5 jod more for a two day ticket eventough it was included. I got the 5 jod back by contacting the agency. The hotel in Petra was OK. The lunch place they bring you to sells overpriced drinks. The next morning I had to pay extra to get an early pick up to get to Petra. The agent in Petra lied to me and the other tourists about the shuttle to little petra. It is free and included in your ticket. They just want to make more money. I booked the trip to end in aqaba and again I had to fight to be left in the center and not at the boarder. On the way to aqaba, we stopped in the same tourist trap then the day before to buy overpriced souvenirs you can find in every corner in jordan. My advise: Just organise it yourself. Jordan is beautiful and save, but forget this company!
