Masai Mara Safari - We had an amazing trip from beginning to end. I asked a lot of questions and they took their time to answer them all. No hidden fees. All disclosed. Our guide Michael was awesome and our whole family enjoyed him. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and did excellent to find us animals.

Better than I could have imagined - Highly recommend - Animals galore in Masai Mara with our guide Michael - Favorite experience were the Game Drives. I couldn't believe how close we got to the animals, how they didn't run from us, how we could sit and watch them in their natural habitat, how beautiful the terrain was, WOW! Once in a lifetime experience that I highly recommend to anyone traveling to or near Kenya. Be prepared for a BUMPY drive with occasional abrupt stops and turns. Every day in the wild is different - some days you see a lot of animals, and some days not. It is truly luck and the experience of the driver. MICHAEL was FANTASTIC. With 10 years experience, his eyes are well trained to spot animals of all sorts, name them and give facts. He really followed our lead on when and where to stop (even after we had watched the elephants 500 times LOL). Recommend you video the animals in addition to taking still photos. It's wonderful to watch them back. Our camp was Ashnil Mara on the Mara River where we saw crocodiles and hippos galore - amazing! No air-conditioning, fans only. Dimly lit and the USB ports didn't work. Welcoming and exceptional staff. I give the food 3 stars, good yet repetitive and "heavy" in my opinion. If you are not from Africa, DO NOT eat salad or raw vegetables. Bought our souvenirs from the gift shop - good selection and reasonably priced. Pool area was nice. Be prepared to leave cash tip at end of stay (do your research). Great, great tour company to go with. Steve was attentive, responsive and answered our many questions. I would choose them again, and I would request Michael the minute I made my reservation. Be sure to go the border of Tanzania and take the guided tour along the Mara River. We saw 5 crocs and lots of hippos. Masai Village - not for the faint at heart. Read up on this ancient tribe. Understand the animals and people sleep together at night, thus the ground has cow dung and the flies are most plentiful. I would go again, but with long pants and sleeves to keep the flies off. It was interesting, original, and I respect their ways and customs. It was an eye opener. We didn't go to their "market" in the village as we were warned that bartering for their goods was a real challenge. Can't say enough about this wonderful experience I took with my friend and her daughter. I encourage you to go on EVERY game drive available to you. You don't want to miss a single animal or experience this wonderful wilderness has to offer.
