The drive will take you southwest Uganda by road, cross the Equator then to Mbarara for Lunch and through Savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic drive through Kigezi Highlands (commonly referred as “the Switzerland of Uganda”) and banana plantations take you to the Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi National Park. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and will mainly do little but just check in your accommodation, then set out for the Batwa cultural experience. relax as you prepare for the Bwindi Gorilla tracking experience the next day.

Gorilla trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the Gorilla Sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored.

Return to your lodge. Have your lunch and thereafter check out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Transfer back to Kampala with the stopover at the Uganda Equator

Entebbe - You will have a relaxed breakfast then you may opt to enjoy a swim in the lake before you set off on the journey to Entebbe. Else, embark on your return journey to Entebbe Airport or accommodation of your booking. Expect en route stopovers in Mbarara town for lunch and the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe for some memorable photos (if you didn’t stop on the first day) and maybe buying some art pieces of interest. Proceed with the journey arriving late afternoon/evening for drop off at the airport or accommodation of your booking.

We do recommend for a late afternoon/evening outbound flight schedule for this day (if flying out). We hope to see you (or any referral) on your next visit.

Gorilla trek - Not only did we get to see gorillas after a beautiful hike,we stayed in some great places. Unique and peaceful. Tyson our guide kept us entertained with music on the long journeys and made us feel safe. He even helped us out by taking a short cut to the airport via a ferry! Something we were not expecting Would thoroughly recommend the trip!

Great choice - We went on a 3-day gorilla trekking trip, but ended up extending the trip thanks to our wonderful guide Sperito, who always plans and tailors the best trips for us. His flexibility makes our vacation time more relaxed and filled with memorable experiences! We got to see Lake Mburo National park in addition to Bwindi impenetrable rainforest and Lake Bunyonyi. The accommodations on this trip were also definitely my favourite from all I have ever been to! Gorilla trekking was unforgettable, Bwindi is a magical place in the morning fog and the mountain gorillas so amazing to witness in their natural habitat. I can say the trip was worth evey penny. Previous trip we took with Pamoja Tours was a tour to Jinja and Sipi Falls, and also Ssezibwa Falls on the way. We did white water tubing on the Nile and abseiling in Sipi Falls, and both experiences made me absolutely overcome myself and gave me adrenaline rushes I've never felt before. Experiencing the rapids of the Nile and the breathtaking nature of Sipi Falls left a lasting impression that I'll always be greatful for. Sipi especially is a place I recommend everyone to see! Sperito and Daniel were great guides to us, answering questions and listening to our wishes, in addition to sense of humor that makes the trip more fun. I can say Sperito has become a friend! Pamoja is a great company with great values ja respectable ambitions and a desire to make a difference not only in great tourism experiences but also for the wellbeing of the local communities. Supporting them supports a good cause and rewards you greatly in return.

Outstanding Uganda Tour to see Gorillas! - I had the best tour to go see gorillas! The two accommodations organized for me were just amazing. You get to see so much of Uganda on the lengthy drive to the national park. David, my driver, was the coolest guy and super supportive when I needed his assistance. And for the gorillas, I saw a silverback and a mother and 2-week baby up close! It was probably the best day of my life. Highly recommend this tour operator for the quality of the tour and their amazing support. Will have memories for life.

Great couple of days in Bwindi - Excellent organization and communication. The hotels they picked were all in great locations and had lovely views. The tour guide they assigned was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and eager to show me Uganda. It was a completely worry-free trip: all I had to do was show up and have everything taken care of in an efficient manner. Plus, the pricing is a snip compared to other options.

Unique place in the world - Unforgettable experience. Long but easily manageable journey: hands-on experience at the equator line on the Coriolis acceleration, stops on request, great lunch experience, lively villages along the way. Once we reached the excellent accommodation of the Gorilla Mist Camp inside the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, we had contact with the village of Batwa residents (pygmies) and with the orphanage of delightful and welcoming children. The next day we were able to easily meet a family of 13 mountain gorillas with two silverbacks. Ignoring our presence, the family was so at ease that a couple mated in front of us while the puppies played continuously under the watchful eye of their mothers. Incredible. Perfect organization, respecting the places and the animals. Wonderful rest at Lake Bunyony, perhaps in the most impressive mountain landscape in Uganda. The experience gained is that of a lifetime and is absolutely worth the trip, from anywhere in the world.

Promises made and promises exceeded expectations - solo traveler - This is a one of lifetime experience one plans to do. I am so lucky I got to book with these guys. They enhanced my experience and all I can say is that City my tour guide listened to my request. I didn’t want to do a 4 hour hike … so he put the me the easy group and we found the gorillas 10 min into the forest. It was amazing! The team is great they went above and beyond with any request I had. I would highly recommend people to book with this company. You will not be disappointed- I promise you that.

Goosebump experience - I did the 3 day Bwindi nationalpark safari and it was one of the best experiences ever. The ride was super comfortable, the safari land cruiser has many practical gadgets like being able to lay the seat fully down and have a good nap on this long drive. It also has wifi and a fridge which always holds a couple of drinks of your choice. The air conditioner worked perfectly fine as well, although I preferred to just leave the windows down and enjoy the wind in the car. The driving skills of the guide were very good as well, so that I could fully relax and just enjoy the ride. Talking about the guide, he also was extremely nice and never hesitated to try making all special requests coming from me possible. Also he was a super good partner for conversations but never invaded my personal space :) The Trekking itself was magical and although I thought it was very expensive at first, I’m convinced it was worth every single penny now. I can definitely recommend it to everyone thinking about it. It’s a one in a lifetime experience you will never forget! Thank you so much @pamojatours for making this trip possible and such a beautiful memory! I would always do it again and if I ever happen to do another safari in the eastern part of Africa, I’ll definitely call you! You were the best!
