From bustling streets of Cairo to the ancient catacombs and pyramids of the desert. - We have recently returned from our trip around Egypt that culminated in a 3-day exploration of Cairo and Giza, and what a wonderful 3 days there were! All thanks to Michael our guide and Wael from Travel Door. But let's start from the beginning. I have researched our options before our trip and have contacted a few agents for quotes. Wael not only had the best deal for us but also communicated promptly, answered all my questions and have not had any issues with tailoring the trip to our needs. When we reached Giza we met with Michael, our guide. Michael became our best friend, advisor and guide for the next 3 days. Always making sure we get the best experience and exactly what we were looking for in each visited place, Michael took us on an adventure full of tales and historical facts of ancient, medieval and modern Egypt and it was an absolute pleasure to listen to him. There was no task too hard or question not answered and it was like having an Egyptian friend with us rather than a guide. He was making sure we are always well, hydrated and happy. He would protect us from beggars and pushy traders and give us a nudge if he knew something was not the best idea, making us feel safe but independent same time. We were travelling with a 6-year-old that was not easy to entertain but Michael was relentless in keeping her engaged and we salute him for his patience! He is an experienced egyptologist, an absolute gem and is well respected by other people in his industry. I definitely will be in touch with Wael and Micheal when we get back to Egypt and I recommend you to do the same! They will guarantee you an unforgettable Egyptian adventure.

My wonderful Visit to Cairo - Wael and Emy gave me an incredible experience. I was so pleased that Wael was able to book a woman guide for me for our 'ladies trip' to Cairo. Emy was so knowledgeable, took perfect photos, she was like having a friend from home on the trip. She was kind and really treated us like a family, even helping us save costs at different places. I talked to three different tour companies and I'm so glad I chose Wael and Emy. I will visit them again on my next trip.

Wael’s Amazing Tour - Wael was an amazing tour guide!!! Extremely knowledgeable about the whole of Egyptian history. He was very patient and engaging with my family and I. He gave us plenty of time to explore the sites while also providing crucial background to the places we visited. Wael is also very good at taking photos and provided us with great photos. He picked us up from the hotel with a minivan that had AC and was very spacious. Would definitely recommend!

Wael makes the ancient come to life - My girlfriend and I were hugely impressed by Wael's knowledge and passion for Egyptology. His approach to the tour was interactive and dynamic - often posing questions to us rather than just reciting a monologue. Everything felt spontaneous and alive, which in turn made Ancient Egypt feel absolutely relevant. Thanks for accommodating us on such short notice Wael!
