Arrival in Iquitos - Transfer to the lodge

Iquitos - Welcome and pick-up from the Iquitos airport, followed by a transfer to the dock for our boat journey. Our initial visit will be to Fundo Pedrito, a farm that actively conserves a variety of animals including paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, anacondas, and the renowned Victoria Regia aquatic plant.
In the afternoon, embark on a canoe excursion with an expert indigenous guide familiar with all the local pathways. This is an opportunity to see the region’s native plants and wildlife and to understand the diverse applications the inhabitants have for each species.

Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the Lodge, complemented by our inviting bar.

As dusk sets in, partake in a guided trek or canoe trip into the enigmatic jungle to spot tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, praying mantises, and to hear the nocturnal calls of owls and “ayaymamas” as well as other nighttime creatures.

Amazing - It was an once in a life time experience. Our guide Alison was amazing, funny and very knowledgeable guy. Always on hand if needed, went above and beyond too. Unfortunately we didnt get to watch the sunrise and dolphins, also the zip line due to weather (heavy rain) but we ended up having a nice walk thru the jungle and visiting the aborigines instead which was fun. Would recommend. The villa is nice and clean. The whole experience went nice and smooth.

Considerate operator - The tickets we booked were non-refundable. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic we had to cancel our June 2020 trip and excursion with them. Upon our request, they offered a full refund immediately, without question. Very much appreciated. We look forward to travel via them in the future.

Everybody needs a monkey - We visited a wildlife reserve and got to hold monkeys and sloths. Panchita the Howler monkey was the best! We also got to swim in the Amazon! How crazy is that!?
