All thumbs up - Our guide, Mohamed El-Aswani, was the best I had in my 2 weeks in Egypt. He was great at explaining the histories of the sites and drawing connections between ideas. He clearly knows a lot about his subject, truly understands it, and has done a lot of research outside of the basic certifications every guide must take. It was a real pleasure to hear his explanations. He took good care of me and my travel companion. Took us to great local food places, away from tourist traps. And he served as a buffer against salespeople who might try to rip you off. You can really trust him and his diplomacy skills. Mohamed made our visit just perfect. He first took us to the Unfinished Obelisk, and you really should not go there without him! The information he gave was essential to appreciating the place and learning how obelisks were constructed and moved. He afterward took us on a motorboat down the Nile through a beautiful nature preserve area and to a spot where we could swim. This was lovely! We saw a Nubian village, where he gave interesting explanations of their lifestyle and culture. The boat trip to Philae Temple was also beautiful and peaceful. He also guided us by car to the Aswan Dam and High Dam. Interesting histories of both! Abu Simbel is probably the most touristy thing we did outside of seeing the pyramids in Giza, and I would say you could go without it if your budget is small or time is short. All the rest of the tour was not to be missed!! But Abu Simbel is visually impressive (Instagram will appreciate it!) and an amazing feat in both its original architecture and the fact that it was relocated. Seeing the sunrise over the desert during the car ride there was my favorite part of this visit, actually, but I'm easily pleased like that. ; ) All in all: Mohamed El-Aswani is the best. You'll wish he could guide you through everything in Egypt.

Great mesmerizing experience . - On 07 july 2022, i was received at Aswan Airport by the guide and the driver. Before taking me to my cruise the guide, Mrs Erini took me to the two modern marvels of Egypt, the Aswan Dam and followed by a visit to the Philae temple. Mrs Erini was also honest and candid to ask me my interest and accordingly designed my visit. Erini besides being very friendly had sound knowledge and went beyond history to explain how beautiful Egypt is. It was on her recommendation i decided to visit Nubian village and Abu Simbal temple. Through her explanation I could vividly imagine the grandeur and magnificence of ancient Egyptian civilization. Being a lady she was more worried and made sure i was comfortable. The driver Mr Hani is very helpful and always had pleasing smile that made the trip very jovial. Both Erini and Hani are asset to the company. The cruise on the Nile was breath taking . Mr Aladin my guide in Lexor too was very friendly and besides getting to appreciate the amazing history visually he made sure that I carried back with me deeper knowledge of the ancient civilization. The Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut temple were amazingly beautiful. I had great time in Aswan and Lexor. Sonam, guests.

Aswan and its magic - Arrived to Aswan at night on my second day in Egypt. Was picked up by a private driver and had a mini tour of the city at night, went to local place to eat the famous koshary at a local spot. The folowwing morning Alaa my private guide picked me up from Nubian Palace guest house and I started to discover this amazing city and its wonders: High Dam, Philae Temple. Had lunch at a local seafood restaurant and then started touring different markets for jewelry and species On my second full day, went to visit the impressive Abu Simbel temples, took a motorized boat to the botanic garden and to swim in the Nile Alaa is incredible and a well in egyptology history who was able to transport me back into time
