Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the Panda Breeding and Research Center, a dwelling home to over 100 giant pandas. We will arrive here at about 9:00 a.m. when most of them are active. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things–eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. There are also panda kindergartens and nursery rooms, which you can pay a visit.
Chengdu Renmin Park - The People’s Park is a good choice for you to visit as it is an epitome of Chengdu’s laid-back atmosphere. Have your ears cleaned or take a neck massage as Chengdu people usually do. Sitting down on a cane chair and sipping the hot tea, you can choose to take a nap or watch local people indulging themselves in playing mahjong and having casual chats. In addition, you can also have a look of the “matchmaking fair”, where you will see some interesting scenes that parents are posting messages to look for a partner for their unmarried sons and daughters.
