3 girls left to their own devices in Costa Rica because of FRAM - We are 3 young girls who have booked a trip to Costa Rica. We (unfortunately) chose the FRAM agency to avoid any problems. This is where this trip turns into a nightmare. After having several canceled flights and other adventures, we finally arrived in Costa Rica without suitcases, at 2 a.m. without the guide who was supposed to pick us up at the airport and take us to the hotel. We then decide to call the fram manager from Costa Rica who was well aware of our late arrival. The latter recommends that we take a taxi in an unknown city which is not the most “safe” and I repeat 3 girls!!!!!!! We could have disappeared and no one would have noticed. We were obviously scammed by the taxi who charged us the equivalent of $150 for a 10 minute journey. When we arrived in Costa Rica, we obviously couldn't make any claims for our luggage since it was 2am. Being on an organized trip, we had to follow a circuit and change cities. The representative assures us that he will take care of the claim procedures to be carried out on site but unfortunately 2 days later, still no baggage claim established. That is to say that it is not even a problem of the airline which takes time to send the luggage but rather the fram company which rests on its laurels and takes no action. Not to mention the fact that they are very difficult to contact, that they refuse to take responsibility and each time blame the Iberia company which has absolutely nothing to do with this story. They tell us everything and its opposite, they hang up on us??? And some even lose their temper telling us to “stop with our c****ries” (the cactus tour representative) To top it all off, we took out insurance offered by fram which cannot be contacted and with which fram is apparently not associated. The majority of numbers provided in the travel guide are invalid. We strongly advise you not to book anything with this company. Now compared to the costs that we have to spend to compensate for the dispute of the unarrived suitcases, we spent the majority of our budget on essential objects (underwear, toothbrushes, mosquito repellent, change of clothes (we are in tongue in the jungle and in the rain). The insurance we took out with fram is supposed to cover the expenses but as it cannot be contacted we have no idea of the amount it covers! Without adding that all the excursions that were sold to us are in fact paid and are not included in the large cost of the trip… The “all inclusive” trip does not even include a simple bottle of water during their journey which is supposed to be 3 hours but ends up being 6 hours. This trip which includes hiking and impossible without equipment besides we fell ill given the rainy climate and our medicines are in our suitcases… A DISASTER!!
