Additional Information

The purpose of this day trip is to whisk you away from the buzzing energy of Barcelona, allowing you to bask in the Mediterranean air. This trip is designed with lovers of the great outdoors, art, and nature, in mind.

Upon departing Barcelona, we plunge straight into the rural landscapes of Catalonia. First up is Girona, an ideal blend of history, architecture, and culinary delights. This is a city famous for featuring in Game of Thrones, where you will be able to wander through the intricate alleyways and imposing Roman Walls of the Old Town.

From there, we journey into the heart of the Catalan Countryside to appreciate its natural beauty. The next stop is Peratallada, quite possibly the most enchanting yet under-the-radar medieval village in the Empordà region. After a bit of exploration and photography, we guide you to Calella de Palafrugell for lunch. Originating as a fishing hamlet, it’s split into several coves, and still retains the quaint charm of original narrow streets and characteristic two-storey fishing houses. Ready to embark?

Awesome trip through a piece of Catalonia - Well, muchas graçias, thank you, and vielen lieben Dank, Giulio! That was an amazing trip with U and the small group of nice and gentle people - now nearly friends! ☺️ So the trip to Girona, to Perratallada and Calella de Parafrugell (…yes, Giulio I‘ve learned it😂) was absolutely awesome! We had the chance to meet very gentle residents in Perratallada (unforgetable), had some nice Vermouth-Drinks and and and…. The list would be too long… I only can recommend everyone to check out this little journey with Giulio. Nobody will be disappointed- I‘m sure 💪🏻🤓 I‘ll hope to travel with you again. Finally grazie mille 🫶🏻

Most inspiring!! - We had an amazing day in the Catalan countryside. Giulio is a fantastic tour guide. You can feel how much he loves the country and its people and how passionate he is about his job. Through the many interesting stories he has to tell, we learned a lot about Catalonia and its history. We really enjoyed the day so much and felt very comfortable in the small group. So don't hesitate, book! It's really worth every penny! Thank you Giulio for this inspiring day! ;-) PS: aren‘t we all students from Idaho? 😉

Highly recommend! - My husband and I took this trip for our honeymoon. This small group tour gave us the opportunity to get to know our tour guide and group very well! We explored beautiful locations, but Peratallada was by far a favorite. A small, romantic village where we were able to get gelato & sangria; even meet some locals!

Vibes were at 100% - Big thanks to Be Outdoors Barcelona for a great trip! Julio was awesome! He took us through the outskirts of Barcelona and into the actual countryside of Spain. We went through more than 3 towns which were full of history and stories, (which he knew everything about) then finished the day at Costa Brava! Feels like he showed us everything worth seeing (Girona is gorgeous). The car rides also went by quickly as we were exchanging music the whole time

Girona and the Costa Brava - This trip is fantastic! Giulio was our guide to start the day and a friend at the end of the day! Girona was the first stop. A beautiful town where we were treated to a drink and a pastry. We had plenty of time to see the sights and wander down the narrow streets of the town. Peratallada was next. What an amazing little medieval village where I wish we had a bit more time to explore. We stopped and had a drink with "the boss" Santi. Try his homemade Sangria...you will not be disappointed! Finally onto the Costa Brava...Calella de Palafrugell! A stunning little seaside town and we luckily had a beautful day to explore it. Grabbed some flatbread pizzas and a bottle of wine and sat on the beach for a picnic while kids explored the rocks and the water. It was awesome! Sadly, we headed back to Barcelona after this and back to our starting point. This trip was a highlight of our family trip to Spain!
