This is a must-do trip in Georgia! - Going to Georgia without visiting the Svaneti region is like missing one of the most impressive sights in Georgia. This 2-day trip corresponded exactly to what we were looking for i.e. going to the Ushguli village (2100m altitude) via Lentekhi and the Zagari pass (2600m), and returning via Mestia, Enguri dam and Zugdidi. At first we thought we could do the trip on our own with a rented car, but it turned out that the road via Zagari pass is typically closed for general traffic at the end of September, and the same might apply to the road between Mestia and Ushguli. This means that by going on your own during mid-autumn or winter, you might not be able to go beyond Mestia (coming via Zugdidi) and thus you might miss the most impressive sights: Ushguli, Shkhara glacier (under Mt Shkhara, 5200m) and Zagari pass. The Enguri Dam (world's second highest concrete arch dam) is also worth the visit. We are very grateful to Mikhaeli, our driver and guide, who was super knowledgeable about the region's history and geography, in addition to being very friendly and helpful (e.g. indicating the best spots for photographs in Ushguli, where one can avoid the recent intrusive constructions that have partially affected this unique spot). The trip was well worth every penny that we paid. Big thanks to Mikhaeli and Megobari Tours.

An unforgettable adventure - One of the best trips I have ever been on. During the car journey, we stopped at many beautiful viewpoints, each one more breathtaking than the last. The towns we visited were very pretty and we had a lot of freedom to explore, which was great. The optional horse riding was a great choice, it's an unforgettable experience and I recommend it to anyone who's hesitating. The guide who led us throughout the trip was very nice and we got on really well, I felt like I was going to the mountains with friends. It is important to remember that this involves many hours spent in the car, which may be a problem for some people. To make the trip even better, I would gladly add more moments outside the car. During the trip to the glacier, I recommend walking to the end and trying to drink water from it. Even though it is ice cold, it is great.

Good option to see Esvanetia - The tour went as expected. Everything went well, although some things were not available, like the cable car. The dam was not in operation

Compact but impressive excursion to Swanetia - The two-day tour to Mestia and Ushguli was a really great experience and definitely worth the money. Although the bus for six people was a bit small and narrow (max. 5 people would have been more comfortable), but overall it was a very successful trip. There were many stops to take photos and enjoy the impressive surroundings. The trip provided a quick but very impressive overview of Swanetia. Anna did a great job and also gave us excellent food recommendations.

Recommended at 200%. AMAZING Experience! :) - Brutal experience, out of 10! Super recommended. Teona, the guide is a super responsible person with the group (we were only 2 couples, which made it closer and special even) and very interesting and attentive. He knows the region wonderfully and transmits his passion for the Georgian mountains at every turn. He had many details with us during the trip (I buy typical bread, a bottle of wine, offer me his canes for trekking, chocolate,... Incredible) as well as recommendations and information of interest about the country. It was better than we expected. Recommended at 200%.

Great tour - I really loved this tour. All the activities were great, the hike to the glacier was fun and I appreciatie you can pick your own hotel in Mestia. We had James as a tour guide and driver; he was fun, informative, and very happy to stop for photographs along the way. This might have been my favourite tour I’ve ever done.

Unique experience you should not miss - This 2 day excursion exceeded all my expectations Despite the rain and the long distance covered we had a truthfully great and unique experience with our guide James to see this region of Georgia everyone should visit Svaneti! I would say this is the best part of all of Georgia’s nice places. Nature, culture, animals not so many tourists and a great variety in sites to explore make this excursion a MUST do Hats off for our great driver James

Strongly recommended - We have just returned from a two-day "safari" in Svaneti, staying overnight in Mestia. We did the 4x4 tour with Teona, a kind, helpful and prepared person. He made us fall in love with this land with his stories, from which a deep attachment and sincere empathy for the Georgian people shone through. On the first day we had the chance to do a short and easy trek (2 hours about) to get closer to the glacier. Despite the bad weather on the second day prevented us from making the cable car ride to enjoy the beautiful view, we fell back on the visit of the Enguri Dam, an important engineering work. Overall we recommend this tour: the landscapes are breathtaking, the urban agglomerations with very characteristic tower houses and divine food, as in every place in Georgia. Thank you Teona and happy birthday! ❤️☺️ We hope to see you again soon!
