The first destination is the genuine Nemocón Salt Mine. Here, visitors descend 80 meters to explore a world of salt, a marvel of mining and engineering that has achieved remarkable feats, including serving as the filming location for the famous movie The 33. Guests will walk through tunnels, marvel at the salt crystals hanging from the ceiling, and admire the impressive “Espejo de Agua” (Water Mirror), an underground lake that highlights the surprising uniqueness of traditional elements. Next, the tour proceeds to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, known as the “First Wonder of Colombia.” Located 180 meters underground, this site offers a unique blend of engineering and devotion. Visitors will walk through the 14 stations of the Way of the Cross, carved into the salt rock, culminating at the grand dome of the Cathedral.
