Our tour guide will accompany you on a relaxing walk around Sun Moon Lake, allowing you to take in the breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Instructions:
- Please be aware that each vehicle in our tour service includes only one English-speaking driver/guide.
- The daily car rental duration is 8-10 hours. An additional fee of NT$500 per hour will be charged for overtime, payable directly to the driver/guide. (The vehicle is equipped with mobile charging facilities, bottled water, and rain gear.)
- Each vehicle provides one complimentary child safety seat. Please specify in the order notes.
- This ticket does not include any entrance fees or meals.

Jan 2026 Sun Moon Lake - Excellent Service. Justin was a great driver and knows what to do in the area. Take the cable car ride add on and enjoy the view of Sun Moon lake from high up. There is a lot to do in the area so time yourself.

Relaxing Ride - Vincent arrived early in a very clean and comfortable vehicle. It was a bit of a splurge to have a private driver, but it was very much worth it for such a long, full day.

Sun Moon Lake One-day Tour - I recently visited Sun Moon Lake and highly recommend it if you're looking for a beautiful and serene place to experience in Taiwan.
I had a wonderful one-day tour from Taipei with my guide, Danny. He made the long journey feel effortless, and we visited several key spots, including Wenwu Temple, Shuishe Pier, Xuangguang Pier, Ita Thao Pier, and Ci'en Pagoda.

Sun Moon lake private day tour (leaving from Taipei) - Justin was a great driver and guide. We asked him to make adjustments to the itinerary which he accommodated. He told us about unique things and facts.
He took photos for us, so we could all be included. He made sure that we had the better glass bottom gondola, which was neat.
I would recommend Justin and the private tour to family and friends. Very nice experience.
We wish it could have been a little bit longer, but we understood what we were getting.

Wonderful day trip to Sun Moon Lake and Wenwu temple - Our driver and your guide, Justin, did a fantastic job touring us around Sun Moon Lake and Wenwu temple as a day trip from Taipei. The advance and clear communication about pick up, timing and other expectations was very much appreciated.
The electric bike ride was my favorite. The color of the water is a shade of blue that is very unique for a lake in warm climates.
The Wenwu temple is also a unique temple with the iconic lion-dragon statues. I also enjoyed the green rock structures / carvings that was a surprise you cannot necessarily see from photos from the front view of the temple.

Relaxing and enriching experience - We had an unforgettable day trip to Sun Moon Lake from Taipei with a private driver, and it exceeded all expectations. The 3-hour drive (one-way) was comfortable and scenic. Upon arrival, we visited three stunning spots around the lake: the iconic Wenwu Temple, the serene Xuanguang Temple, and the picturesque Ita Thao Village. Each stop provided breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere.
For lunch, we dined at a local restaurant that served delicious Taiwanese delicacies. The meal was a perfect reflection of the region’s flavours. Overall, it was a relaxing and enriching experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Taiwan!

Not worth private day trip - Day private trip is not worth money & time at all as sun moon lake is not something great except one stays overnight to enjoy lake serenity away from the city hustle bustle, mostly suitable for Taiwanese week end break.

Rent a car and drive by yourself - This tour are limit scam, you pay $350 fine but you have to pay for the parking space mean don’t see why we have to pay that, after its only a drive you have to do everything by your own and then if on the way back they have traffic you have to pay an extra 500 for the car. I will agree to be charged if i ask something extra but not for something im not responsible.
