Star-Plucking Terrace: Situated on the eastern peak, it extends from the cliff, offering a breathtaking view with swirling winds, clouds, a river flowing through the forest, and a waterfall cascading into the valley below.
Pillar in the South Sky: This is a 200-meter-high solitary peak in the southeastern valley. With bushes on top and trees at the base, it stands tall, resembling a pillar reaching towards the sky.
Immortal Turtle in the Mist: To the west of Huangshizhai, there’s an oval-shaped rock resembling a giant turtle, about 5 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters high, appearing to crawl slowly in the mist.
Six Wonder Pavilion: This is an excellent spot to enjoy the surrounding scenery. -
Yangjiajie Scenic Area - Yangjiajie Scenic Area is a key part of Zhangjiajie’s Wulingyuan Scenic Area, known for its untouched natural beauty and steep terrain. Here are some of its notable attractions:
Oolong Village: Formerly “Heilong Village,” it was a bandit residence in western Hunan. The village is built against the mountain, and the path up is very steep, requiring both hands and feet to climb, passing through three “Ghost Gates” along the way.
Tianbo Mansion: A platform atop the mountain, surrounded by numerous cliffs. Over 10 natural stone walls of varying heights resemble the ruins of the Tianbo Mansion of the Yang Family Generals. It’s one of the top photography spots in Zhangjiajie.
One Step to Heaven: The highest peak in Yangjiajie. After climbing 32 iron ladders, visitors can reach the mountain’s summit. - Golden Whip Brook - Jinbian Brook is a renowned scenic spot in Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan, famous for its crystal-clear water and towering quartz sandstone peaks lining both banks. Spanning about 5.7 kilometers, it’s named after the Golden Whip Rock—a 380-meter-tall sharp peak resembling a whip piercing the sky.
Golden Whip Rock: The stream’s iconic landmark, standing tall and majestic with lush vegetation clinging to its surface.
Flower-Fruit Mountain: A serene section dotted with ancient trees, where visitors can see macaques playing among the branches.
Water Curtain Cave: A hidden grotto with a gentle waterfall cascading over its entrance, creating a fairy-tale-like scene.
Pig Bajie’s Wife’s House: A rock formation vividly resembling the legendary character’s dwelling, adding a touch of folklore charm.
- Ten Miles Gallery - Zhangjiajie’s Ten-Mile Gallery is a core scenic area of Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie and a must-visit for tourists.

The gallery stretches about 5 kilometers, with lush forests and fragrant wildflowers on both sides. There are many unique rock formations, and over 200 stone scenes shaped like people, animals, etc., are naturally carved on the mountains, resembling a vast landscape painting.

Tianzi Mountain - Tianzi Mountain is one of the four major scenic areas in Zhangjiajie’s Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It is celebrated for its distinctive natural scenery and rich cultural significance.
Yubi Peak: Located in the deep valley 80 meters west of Tianzi Pavilion in Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, several stone peaks about 100 meters high are arranged in a staggered manner, like inverted imperial brushes, which are hidden and visible in the clouds.
Fairy Presenting Flowers: A stone peak resembling a fairy holding flowers and smiling at tourists. The facial features are clear, and the shape is lifelike.
Military Forces Gathering: Situated in the deep valley 1 kilometer southeast of Laowuchang, more than 30 uniquely shaped peaks are arranged in a staggered manner, resembling the army of King Tianzi gathering.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park spans 130 square kilometers and holds the distinction of being China’s first national forest park. The park features a distinctive landscape, characterized by a multitude of uniquely shaped stone peaks and verdant trees. These peaks rise dramatically into the sky, boasting broad, flat tops and an awe-inspiring presence. The park is divided into six smaller scenic areas: Huangshizhai, Pipaxi, Jinbianxi, Yaozizhai, Shedaogou, and Yuanjiajie.
