BaiLong Elevator - The world’s tallest outdoor elevator (326m) allows visitors to reach the mountain top in just 1 minute and 28 seconds.

Yuanjiajie - Yuanjiajie serves as the primary backdrop for the movie Avatar, featuring hundreds of original “Floating Avatar Mountains.” The most notable is “Hallelujah Mountain,” offering an awe-inspiring view reminiscent of outer space. It is no surprise that this area is the most famous highlight in the park, with larger pillars than other regions.

Tianzi Mountain - Tianzi translates to “Heavenly Prince.” Historically, it refers to a real person who led the local minority in a battle against the government army during the Ming Dynasty 500 years ago. The Mt. Tianzi area was the battlefield, and many scenic spots are intertwined with historical stories and legends of this honorable man. Visually, the Tianzi mountain top provides the most spectacular view of the sandstone peak forest in the park, characterized by its sharp and slender shape. It is one of the highlights of the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area.

Golden Whip Brook - Golden Whip Stream is considered one of the most beautiful streams in China. It stretches 6 km with a well-paved flat walkway at the bottom of a canyon. Touring from a lower perspective offers a different view of Avatar from the top and brings you closer to nature. You will encounter hundreds of uniquely shaped sandstone peaks rising by the crystal-clear stream, accompanied by numerous fascinating legends and stories from locals. Additionally, you may spot many adorable monkeys along the way. A 2-3 hour easy walk with fresh air will make you feel as if you are walking into pure nature, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.

ZJJ Grand Canyon Glass Bridge-Yellow Dragon Cave. Overnight in Wulingyuan Center

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Situated in the countryside of Zhangjiajie, this spot offers the experience of walking on the world’s longest (430m) and first glass bridge over a natural canyon (300m high). It is an incredible architectural feat showcasing human imagination. After the bridge tour, if time permits, you can visit the bottom of a picturesque canyon for a 1.5-hour walking trip, following a stream, passing a bandit cave, and then boating to the exit.

Yellow Dragon Cave - This is the second-largest cave in Asia (3 layers and 13 halls), known as “the Champion of Caves,” where various cave formations can be found. The tour covers only 2/5 of it but offers a chance to see the stunning views of hundreds of stalagmites and stalactites by foot and boat. It is the only place to explore the beautiful inner world of the amazing Zhangjiajie.

Baofeng Lake-Tianmen Mountain-Happy Ending

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Tianmen Mountain is known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie.” It is the highest point (1500m) in Zhangjiajie, where visitors can walk on thrilling cliff paths and glass walkways, enjoying a bird’s-eye view of the entire city and beautiful countryside. The landscape here is distinct yet equally impressive as the ZJJ National Park. Both are world-class sceneries, making it a must-visit highlight of the city. What is even more astonishing is that this single mountain holds four World Guinness Records, each overwhelmingly impressive to any visitor. It promises an extraordinary experience unlike any other.

Baofeng Lake - This beautiful lake is situated high atop sandstone mountains. Here, visitors can enjoy views of the Avatar Mountains reflected on the water while listening to charming Tujia folk songs sung by young girls and boys in wooden boats. They can also learn interesting stories about the lake’s formation. It is not physically demanding but very relaxing.
