Zhangjiajie - At 9:00 am, the tour guide will greet you at your Zhangjiajie hotel, airport, or train station and then transfer you to Zhangjiajie National Park. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, your guide will meet you at 9:00 am in the lobby of your hotel in central Zhangjiajie or Wulingyuan. The tour includes visits to various mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes you to the summit, and the distinctive platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and a multitude of colorful birds. The park’s most remarkable features are its towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood will recognize the breathtaking landscape as the inspiration for Pandora in James Cameron’s movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area is renowned for its natural beauty, where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes, and waterfalls coexist harmoniously. It boasts over 560 attractions. The uniquely shaped peaks, peculiar stones, hidden valleys, enchanting waters, and limestone caves form the ‘Five Wonders’ of Wulingyuan, making them a must-see.

Spanning 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), the Wulingyuan Scenic Area comprises four sections: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

Today’s tour will explore the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve.

Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing the main park entrance tickets, a shuttle bus (20-minute ride) will take you to the Tianzi Mountain cable station, where you will need to walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - Following a 20-minute cable car ride, you will arrive at the top of Tianzi Mountain. A shuttle bus (5-minute ride) will then take you to the central area of Tianzi Mountain, offering breathtaking views of peaks rising one after another. Known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest,’ the top of the mountain provides a panoramic view of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenes in different seasons, including the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), a shuttle (15-minute ride) will take you to the Bailong Elevator. The Bailong Elevator is a magnificent structure with a total height of 335 meters (1,099 feet), of which 326 meters (1,069 feet) is the running height. Of the total height, 154 meters (505 feet) is within the mountain wells, while the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) consists of a steel derrick and other components. The elevator features three parallel sightseeing elevators, each accommodating 50 passengers at a speed of 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). When all three elevators operate simultaneously, they can transport up to 4,000 passengers per hour.

Wulingyuan District - After completing the Zhangjiajie National Park tour, enjoy lunch in the Wulingyuan area, just outside the park.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - After lunch, you will transfer to the Glass Bridge. Your local expert guide will lead you on an adventure in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, renowned among explorers and nature enthusiasts worldwide. The canyon features typical Zhangjiajie landforms, breathtaking cliffs, lush forests, ancient caves, colorful ponds, and a river running through it. Walk on the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Suspended over a valley, the glass bridge offers a spectacular panorama of the entire canyon. Enjoy a scenic walk with waterfalls and stunning views on both sides. Standing on it feels like floating in the air.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park today. You will ascend the hill using either the cable car or shuttle bus, depending on traffic conditions.
