Golden Whip Brook and Baofeng Lake

Golden Whip Brook - Begin the day at 9:00 am from the hotel lobby to explore the stunning Golden Whip Brook. This brook is renowned for its clear, crystal waters that remain unfrozen throughout the year. It is often referred to as “The Gallery of Landscape” and “The Heaven on Earth.” The brook is flanked by a series of steep peaks and ridges, creating a breathtaking scene described as “People walking in the canyon while mountains are passing by the canyon.”

Baofeng Lake - Afterward, savor delicious authentic Chinese cuisine at a local restaurant before visiting the remarkable Baofeng Lake. This lake is part of the larger Wulingyuan Scenic Area, specifically within the Suoxi Valley subsection of Hunan Province, which was designated a World Heritage site in 1993. Located on and around Mount Baofeng in the northern part of the province, near the city of Changde, the Baofeng Lake Scenic Area covers approximately 278 hectares and includes Baofeng Lake and Yingwo Stockade Village. Conclude the day by returning to the hotel.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - Experience the unique Zhangjiajie National Forest Park by ascending to Yuanjiajie Mountain via the 1100-foot-tall Bailong Elevator. Yuanjiajie is a well-known tourist spot in Zhangjiajie Forest Park, gaining fame as the inspiration for the floating mountains in the Hollywood film Avatar. The peaks and pillars here are nearly the same height, making Yuanjiajie Scenic Area an ideal mountain platform for enjoying expansive views. Spend approximately 2.5 hours exploring the Pillar of the Southern Sky, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Platform of Forgetfulness to take in the stunning sandstone peak landscape.

Tianzi Mountain - Next, proceed to Tianzi Mountain, one of the four major Wulingyuan scenic areas. Originally named Green Rock Hill, it was renamed after the ancient Tujia leader Xiang Dakun, who led a local peasant uprising and claimed to be “the son of heaven.” A cable car ride offers a descent from the mountain to the enchanting Ten-mile Natural Gallery, where you can explore the Bailong Elevator, Tianzi Mountain, and the Ten-mile Natural Gallery. End the day by returning to the hotel.
