Flexible, quiet and wonderful!!! - A visit to a spicefarm and a walk through Stonetown is always good, but guide Lukman and driver Idriss have made it very special! I recommend them to everyone. Lukman taught us a lot and adapted his program completely to our interests. And the spicefarm is magical!

Visit of the spice farm - Very nice spice farm experience with a guide expressing himself in very good French. This one took his time to explain everything. The transport went smoothly. We recommend this activity.

A tour not to miss! - We loved our Stone Town and Spice Farm tour with Lukman! The Spice Farm tour was especially entertaining. Mario and Ali were unexpected and very entertaining additions. Being able to purchase spices straight from the farm was a highlight. And the Swahili lunch was spectacular!

stone town very nice, farm requires mosquito repellent - You have to put mosquito repellent, the place is an outdoor farm with plants and many mosquitoes in a tropical environment. We were hoping for a spice market and we had to withdraw because the mosquitoes bit our legs, if we had been told or hit at the start we would have enjoyed a lot

Nice tour, but wish the guide had better grasp of English - While we had a nice tour of Stone Town, lunch at a very rustic “restaurant” in the jungle (it was a hut with tables and a small kitchen where a cooking class was happening), and a great tour through a local spice field, the entire experience was hampered by our guide’s (named Lukman) lack of a sufficient grasp of English. He knew enough English to tell us the stories and about what we were seeing, but did not understand our follow-up questions. Also, he provided us with only 10 minutes at the slave exhibit (not nearly enough time to read the dozens of panels of information) and did not explain anything about the exhibit. He also didn’t explain what the “restaurant” was cooking for us to eat, which meant a fairly awkward experience until they served us food. There were several times when we asked a question and he responded “I’ll tell you later,” and then never told us the response. It was as if he couldn’t go off-script. We had a great time touring the spice field. That was a highlight for us. I’d recommend a tour with these activities but hopefully you’ll have a more fluent English speaker.
