Zanzibar: more than just a trip, a unique experience that marks for life - The decor is beautiful. The hotel staff, like the Zanziberians, are very kind and helpful. The landscapes are breathtaking, despite a small flat concerning the very touristic coast. However, only one excursion left me with a bitter taste: dolphins. It is more like a hunt, boats scurrying at them and harassing them to satisfy tourists. It’s a shame and deeply heartbreaking.

Greatest experience! - This was an exceptional experience. Everything was smooth, seamless and worryfree. The pickup was prompt from the hotel and the driver was so professional. Upon return, here was right there waiting on us also. We waited briefly and were delivered out tickets and escorted to the terminal. The Cessna awaited as we were checked in. The quick flight was uneventful. From the moment we began to drive, animals were present. There were a few moments of no activity but when the animals showed up they were reality active. Wildebeest, lion, antelope, giraffe, monkeys and hippos were featured. The lunch was delicious and considered vegetarian options. Our jeep included 2 couples, my daughter, me the photographer and driver. They provided beverages during there tour and meal. Our return flight was a free hours after meal and that seemed to be the most difficult time of the day. It seemed hotter and we were a little tired. We began our day at 2:30am and it was 3pm. Everyone was superb! The guide was knowledgeable and considerate. There photographer had a great eye. Even the other guests were cool. 10's across the board! Recommend taking toiletries along and a thermos because ice is not available. :)

Once in a lifetime experience at Nyerere National Park! - This excursion was well worth the cost at Nyerere National Park! The pick up time was prompt (5:30 am) at our hotel (we received a text a couple of days prior). At the airport, we had someone waiting for us, checked us in, we immediately boarded. The whole process was incredibly smooth and the Cessna plane was one of the smoothest flights I have taken recently, not to mention the fantastic views of the Tanzanian Landscape! Once we arrived at Nyerere National Park, we were greeted by our phenomenal Safari guide Mr. Martin and our professional private photographer Ahmed! We got a quick safety briefing on what to do and what not to do and we immediately hit the road to do our Safari! Throughout the whole day, Mr. Martin was super knowledgeable about each animal we saw (Elephants, Hippos, Lions, Wild Dogs, Crocodiles, Giraffes, Zebras, Antelopes, Boars, and many more) as he would provide some short facts about them. He ensured that our jeep had great views of all the animals while respecting their boundaries and making sure we were safe. We stopped mid morning for a coffee/tea and bread break which was really awesome because we could see hippos in the distance as well as other animals! It was just a surreal experience being in the same vicinity as them while sipping a cup of tea! As this was an all inclusive tour, we were provided water, tea/coffee break, and lunch with a drink. The lunch was very tasty and it was set up at one of the picnic areas which was interesting because we did see a lion probably no more than 400m away but it was too hot for them to move... they said that since it was so hot outside, animals just try to find shade and rest until night time. While we were looking at all the animals we came across, the photographer Ahmed was taking professional photographs of my wife and I and the animals as well. It was really nice to have him taking photos because not only were the photos beautiful, they also captured the candid moments of my wife and I looking shocked and amazed when we stumbled across wildlife. I can't thank Ahmed enough for the photographs that he took. He was able to send them to us about 3-4 days after the tour which was great turnaround being that he took over 600 photos. Overall, this was an experience of a lifetime and something that I will remember for a long time. As this is only a day Safari, the tour guide really was putting emphasis on speed to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible. Everything about this tour went flawlessly, from pick up and drop off at our hotel, the flights, and the Safari as a whole... if you are spending multiple days in Zanzibar, I highly recommend booking this tour. This has inspired me to come back to Tanzania and embark on a multi-day Safari.

As a photography enthusiast, I especially loved having the chance to capture the animals myself.
