Fantastic tour with a fantastic guide - We made a new friend today - his name is Masoud He took us on a very interesting visit to a spice farm first. And we actually knew SOME of the spices he showed us. We could also see how they grew and a little of how they are processed. Many look nothing like what we are used to seeing in packets!! Then we toured Stone Town. It is amazing how much there is to see and how much history in a small space. And it feels like a maze so a guide is vital. Otherwise we’d probably still be wandering around 🤪🤪 Nothing was too much trouble for Masoud and he had answers to all our questions We were so lucky and so grateful. Ramadan Kareem Masoud

Wonderful experience! - If you want knowledge and history as part of your tour then this is the trip for you! Masoud is from Zanzibar and clearly loves educating tourists about his beautiful home. We did a spice farm tour to start and you are able to see how so many different spices grow. It was incredibly informative. You are also able to buy different scented oils and soaps along with spices manufactured there at the farm before you depart. Next we went to Stonetown and toured the church/slave market and then walked throughout Stonetown where we got to see more highlights such as the differences in all beautiful doors, the fort, the churches, and many others. Really a bit of a choose your own adventure in what you want to know. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Masoud!

10/10 highly recommended!! - If you are looking to book a spice and/or Stone Town tour look no further!! Masoud is the best in Zanzibar! Masoud drives q clean air-conditioned vehicle, he is timely and easy to communicate with. His knowledge of the culture, history and agriculture of Zanzibar is extensive. Seeing the other guides throughout Zanzibar on different tours it is obvious that Masoud is at the top. His passion for his home island is infectious and respectable. We had a wonderful time spending the day with Masoud, we highly recommend his services!!

A great day! - Great day! :) We had a great day together with our guide Masoud who first took us to a Spicefarm north of Stonetown. There he showed different plants and spices and we first had to guess which species it was by how it smelled, which was very funny.😊👌🏼 Very good information about everything and a very nice experience with the best guide! The tour of Stonetown was also very informative and interesting. Many historical sites including the slave market, slave dens underground etc. Also food markets, alleys and the city’s best African coffee that we got to taste. ‘Over all’ a great day that we can really recommend! :)

Very Educational and Very Fun! - Absolute 10/10 experience! The guide, Masoud, is incredibly knowledgeable and fun, and took great care of us :) The spice tour was interactive and very educational (but also with some very fun demonstrations), and the tour of Stone Town was great, along with an in-depth dive into the history of Zanzibar’s role in the slave trade and a small sampling of local foods. My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic time and would 100% recommend you do this tour, especially if you are staying at a resort and want to bundle together two key experiences to have on the island in one day!

Spice farm and stone town tour - Masoud was our guide, he was wonderful and made sure we got everything we wanted, plus some! We were unaware the excursion we signed up for did not include prison island since we saw some people post pics of it. He made sure we were still able to see it in additional to our tours. Definitely recommend him!
