Set off on an exciting day safari to Mikumi National Park, the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania, where you can experience its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. The adventure starts with a flight from Zanzibar, followed by an exciting game drive through the park.
The journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel, taking you to the airport for your flight to Mikumi. Upon arrival, you’ll join a shared safari game drive, led by knowledgeable drivers who will share their deep understanding of the local wildlife and terrain. As you explore the park, you’ll have the chance to see Tanzania’s wildlife in their natural environment.
As midday arrives, you’ll enjoy a bush lunch in the heart of the wilderness before continuing your park exploration. In the afternoon, you’ll head back to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a transfer will be arranged to take you back to your hotel.

SBH/ Zeta - I have seen the top 5👍 the tour provider is absolutely solid 👍 Zeta Tours is a professional provider and the prices are the same everywhere. 450.-$ in November 2025 for a day safari to Tanzania from Zanzibar. It is enough, in my opinion.

A fantastic pinch me moment at Mikumi National Park! - Absolutely fantastic day at Mikumi National Park and a pinch me moment indeed!! Our tour guide James was fantastic throughout and ensured we saw as much as we could all whilst teaching us so much about the animals! You never know what you will and won't see on a safari trip (the beauty of it really as you're in their home!) so the fact we managed to see all but Buffalos and Leopards was really fantastic! The organisation was superb and the lunch was really good too!! Highly recommend!!

Amazing 😻 Beautiful - *Wild Beauty at Mikumi National Park*
Mikumi offers an unforgettable safari experience with wide open landscapes and incredible wildlife. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and even lions! The scenery is stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset. It's a perfect destination for first-time safari travelers or anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled adventure close to Dar es Salaam. Highly recommended!

I expected more money for that - So, first of all, I was only informed about the pick-up time at 19:00 the day before, and only after I contacted Beach & Safari. I received the e-mail with the pick-up time and the flight details around 7:30 p.m. It said the pickup would be at 6:00 a.m. At 22:00 I then received another email in which the pick-up time was moved to 4:00 in the morning. I was really lucky to see that, as I actually wanted to sleep by this time. I was also lucky to have internet access at that time, which is not always the case here. The pickup went smoothly, as did the flight. During the safari it was annoying that we had to wait in the jeep for an hour and a half because other vehicles were stuck on the roads and could not move forward or backward. Shouldn’t tractors be available at such problem areas to pull the vehicles out quickly? According to the driver, this is more common. We therefore saw only two lions, and even those only partially and from a great distance. We could not detect other predators as the roads were closed. After an hour and a half of wasted time, we returned to the airfield where we had lunch. Then the driver drove us another lap around the airfield before taking us back to the plane. Honestly, I expected more from the safari. Too bad about all the money.

Good tour but not what I expected - Firstly I want to say Ernest was amazing, he was very engaged and informative on each animal and really shed light to us on different things about the animal we found intriguing. I give him personally 5 stars. Quick an easy flight to the safari also, no issues with that. The reason for my 3 stars is we were very disappointed in not seeing as much animals. I thought being in their environment, it would’ve been an experience like they would be coming up to the vehicle or we would be driving and seeing all these different beautiful species of animals we have never seen. I think we saw elephant, giraffes, zebra, antelope, 3 lions all day, two inside some bushes resting, one of which came out, the other stayed in the bushes and another far away under a tree resting we saw later in the afternoon. I personally saw more species of animals and the same set of animals at zoos. When we got back, one couple said the same thing, “we could’ve just went to the zoo” because we saw nothing spectacular, it was just alot of driving around seeking out animals vs just seeing a land filled with animals everywhere. Maybe it’s my fault of thinking this experience would’ve been like watching lion king, it definitely wasn’t. The overall experience was average, but the tour guide is who helped with the disappointment of not seeing many species of animals, even though we were seeing some of the same animals over and over that I listed earlier, he found a way to keep us engaged with new information on the animals.

Mikumi National Park in a few minutes !!! - The booking worked well but the execution was still as desired
At the 1st time we were picked up at 5 am and at 10 am we learned that the flight is not taking place because the plane is defective.
2 ter attempt 2 days later pickup at the hotel at 4 am at 6:30 should start. After some back and forth we finally flew off at 10 o'clock.
Have wasted with waiting and transfer almost a whole day of vacation.
In the hotel we were only back at 21:30
We were not offered any remuneration.
The park is nice but not outstanding
