The village is populated by about 6000 inhabitants and touring it offers a captivating glimpse into their way of living. A local villager guides tourists through the area, where they can observe the construction and ornamentation of traditional dwellings, peek inside, interact with the villagers, and watch the community members engage in their daily tasks.

Mukuni Village is the residence of the Toka Leya people, governed by Chief Mukuni. The village is home to over 6,000 residents, and a visit offers guests fascinating insights into the authentic lifestyles of the community.

During the tour, a village member will warmly welcome guests and guide them through the process of building and decorating traditional huts. Guests will have the opportunity to enter these huts, take photographs, and appreciate the rich cultural heritage.

Visitors will experience the genuine atmosphere of an African village, observing daily life in a functioning community rather than a tourist attraction. During the visit, guests can learn Tonga or Lozi, the local languages commonly spoken in the area. They will also have the chance to see traditional huts and understand their construction.
