History, Storytelling, and a Great First Look at Zagreb - Karlo was simply fantastic and took exceptional care of us throughout the tour. He reached out a day in advance, checked in on our arrangements, and even suggested the most efficient use of local transport, so everything felt smooth and well planned before we even began.
Karlo is a terrific guide with an exceptional understanding of Croatian history and the wider region. He shared a wealth of information about the country, along with fascinating insights into Zagreb itself. His storytelling brought centuries of history to life within just three hours. It was engaging, clear, and never overwhelming.
What really elevated the experience was how interactive the tour was. Karlo carried an iPad and showed historic photographs at each key site, helping us clearly understand how these places evolved over time. This added a wonderful visual layer to the storytelling.
He was also very attentive to our personal interests, frequently checking in and offering thoughtful suggestions and recommendations for things to do during our stay in Zagreb.
This tour is highly recommended if you want a comprehensive introduction to the city. You’ll come away with a clear snapshot of Zagreb’s most important places and a genuine appreciation for its charm. Don’t miss Karlo and his storytelling.

Zagreb made Fun! - Karlo made the tour personable. He was in tune to our interests and utilized that information while on the tour. Karlo had many anecdotes that made the history shared even more vibrant. Karlo was passionate and knowledgeable when sharing the history of Croatia. Having a private tour, enabled us to adjust as needed but also allowed us to have more meaningful conversations. Karlo is funny, helpful and sincere. He truly cared that we enjoyed our adventure. He went above and beyond in sharing recommendations for places to eat, get a drink and other area of interests. He even assisted us after the tour when we had a luggage issue and needed help in finding clothing stores. We will definitely choose Karlo for other adventures in Croatia. He has even got us thinking about a multi-day trip!

Family walking tour through Zagreb - Karlo was super-accommodating of us when we arrived early to Zagreb. He changed his work schedule in order to lead us in Zagreb. With Karlo’s guidance, explanations and insights, we felt as though we had a comprehensive look at the city and its past.

Excellent tour in Zagreb - I guide provided an outstanding three and a half hour tour that went far beyond typical historical facts. He brought Croatia's rich history to life while also sharing deeply personal stories about how the war and earthquakes affected his own family. This personal perspective added an incredibly moving and authentic dimension to our understanding of the country his knowledge was extensive and he had a wonderful way of welding together historical content with present day realities Beyond the tour itself he was genuinely helpful in ensuring we had a great overall experience in Croatia providing excellent restaurant recommendations for our current location as well as suggestions for our upcoming stop in the country. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Croatia. His passion for his country and dedication to giving us meaningful recommendations made this tour truly memorable. Additionally he had provided a recommendation for the hotel we stayed in. It was exactly in the right location to walk to and see everything. He and his company are highly recommended

Great city tour with Karlo - Karlo was a terrific guide - so much information about the history of the country and region, and interesting stuff about Zagreb. He is very engaging and showed us some of the important buildings, parks, art and artifacts. Always interesting!

Superb. Informative tour - Karlo is a friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining tour guide who knows all about Croatia and Zagreb ‘s history. He was able to tie together Croatia’s complicated history, showing us important sites, as well as At the same time, he kept the conversation light (when possible), and interspersed personal stories that were pertinent. I-pad photos really added to the tour. Highly recommend!
He also does private driving tours. We’d book one but today is our last day in Zagreb.

Fantastic Tour of Zagreb that the entirely family enjoyed. - This was an amazing tour of Zagreb that not only covered the highlights but also gave us a great understanding of Croatian history and context. Karlo was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for more than the generic group walking tour.

Great way to see Zagreb in 1 day - Really enjoyed this experience. With only 1 full day in Zagreb this was a great way to see all the key sights and learn a bit about Zagreb and Croatia. Karlo was incredibly knowledgeable and very generous with his time, our walking tour was extended by an additional 1 hour so we could see more of the amazing city. Would highly recommend this tour with Karlo.
