Join us on an unforgettable journey through some of the most memorable places of the Etna onboard our all-terrain vehicles, led by professional and certified guides who will enrich your experience. Explore the most stunning spots of Europe’s highest volcano with intermittent stops and short tours suited to everyone, promising a thrilling and enjoyable time!
We will gather at the designated meeting point equipped with car parking facilities (where breakfast could also be served). After boarding our all-terrain vehicles, the adventure will commence. Our first halt will be near or potentially above the largest lava stream of the 20th century for a brief stroll on the ‘sciara’. Then, we’ll head straight to the most scenic spot of the famous ‘bove valley’. Navigating through a rough terrain path, we’ll find ourselves ascending even further. Upon reaching about 2,000 meters, we’ll journey around a volcano. Furnished with the necessary safety gear, we’ll enter a lava tunnel!

Our meeting point is a short distance from Zafferana Etnea or in the hamlet of Fleri. It will be possible to park your car in the large adjacent car park and, if you wish, you can have breakfast in the modern and efficient Blu Bar New.

A Must Do! - August treated us with care and tailored the experience to our needs. History, culture, geology, politics told with passion, knowledge and a love of Sicily. Highly recommend.

An Etna Experience Beyond Expectations - This private tour of Mount Etna with Augusto Nicolosi was extraordinary! I can truly say it was the highlight of our trip to Sicily!! Augusto is a brilliant teacher and a natural born story teller. He is engaging and attentive, kind and patient, and a true culture bearer for his native Sicily. As a trained volcanologist he was able to share details of Mount Etna and compare her (as the locals refer to the volcano) to other volcanoes worldwide to enrich our understanding of how Mount Etna has shaped this island and it’s inhabitants. Augusto was also very careful to ensure our safety at every step of the way, guiding our footsteps and offering a strong hand to hold when necessary. The natural beauty of the volcano (and the smaller ones all around her) was stunning beyond words. The sunset was indescribably beautiful and the most amazing end to a dramatically beautiful experience. I would give Augusto 100 stars if I could. If you are interested in an educational experience dotted with cultural and historical references this is the tour for you. And if you can manage a tour with Augusto then your trip to Sicily will be complete!!

An unforgettable moment with your family - Great half day with Augusto our guide. Comprehensive explanations about history, geology, nature, cooking and much more. Everything you need to know about Sicily!
The excursion took place on schedule with different stops on the slopes of Mount Etna, lava flows, craters and even lava cave on the program. Special mention for sunset on top of a crater with small typical Sicilian aperitif. The visit and short walks were easy enough for people not walking very well (or even children). Thank you Augusto for taking good care of the "mama" and for adapting to her rhythm 🙏

Thanks Lino! - We went on a family hike with Lino.
He managed to capture everyone with scientific explanations about volcanoes, botanicals, but also with mythological legends about the territory.
We even felt like speleologists... A unique experience. Thanks Lino!

A must do!! Excellent guide and a trip highlight. - We met Augusto at a really easy spot, and from there he took us on a wonderful adventure, tailoring the experience to us. Augusto's passion is infectious, and there wasn't a question we asked that he didn't know the answer. He shared his knowledge in such a wonderful way that it was easily digestible, and kept us interested the entire time. We found so much love for 'Mumma Etna' through his sharing of his experiences and the history of the Volcano, and Sicily as a whole. A highlight not only of our trip, but an absolute pleasure of a day!!! Must do!!! Augusto also has a wealth of knowledge of Sicily, and armed us with more recommendations for the rest of our trip which has served us very well!

A magical moment on Mount Etna thanks to Augusto's passion!!! - We spent more than 4 hours with our guide, Augusto: he offered us an unforgettable experience, we did not see time pass! Very friendly and very rewarding exchanges, in an accessible English (even for my 13 year old daughter). He introduced us to "Mama Etna" with passion, spoke to us geology, flora, history and culture of Sicily, architecture or mythology, leading us with his jeep 4x4 in different strategic places, with small explanatory stops (photos or videos to support). We were able to walk in a lava tube, before reaching the craters at 2,000 meters above sea level and sharing some local specialties to finish. Accessible to all and equipment provided (sticks, helmets, jackets, lamps...). A beautiful human encounter, to book without hesitation, it is really worth it!!!

Impressive day - We did this excursion with the family, what about beautiful and suggestive morning, Linen our guide is an exquisite person, very prepared and decidedly nice, if we decide in future years to make other excursions we will definitely lean on them!

Augusto is an exceptional tour guide - We went on a tour on 30th July, guided by Augusto Nicolosi. We first went with the Jeep around Etna, then took a cable car to the top and then did some hiking up top.
Augusto was a perfect guide, he was super knowledgeable not only about Etna and surroundings, but also about the whole Sicily, including history, archeology, culture, food, etc. His passion for Sicily was remarkable. We learned more from him in one tour than we did through any other excursions in our week in Sicily. He also suggested a lot of great places to visit that we did and enjoyed.
During our day, it was rather cloudy, so at times our visibility up front was limited and we did not see all the beauty. But Augusto made up for this by providing extra activities. For example, we visited Lava Tube which was not in the initial tour. So I definitely recommend Augusto and Etna Passion to anyone who is looking to learn a lot about Etna and Sicily in general.
Augusto also made sure we are comfortable, provided trekking shoes and always checked up on how me and my wife felt. 10/10 experience.
