Come and explore the picturesque windmill village, Zaanse Schans. In a short span of time, immerse yourself in everything that represents the culture of the Dutch. Witness the functioning windmills of the Zaanse Schans and the green timbered houses and stores. Gain knowledge about the process of cheese creation and observe the traditional artisans crafting clogs and other objects. A qualified, well-versed and amicable tour guide will escort you across the village before you are given free time to wander and discover more on your own.
- Please note that the tour bus is parked a short walk away. After checking in, guests will take an approximate 7-minute walk with the guide to the coach boarding area.
- If the Canal Cruise option is selected, you will receive an independent voucher at check-in. This cruise is not connected to the bus tour itinerary; it is a separate voucher valid for use at your own leisure over the following days

Check-in is at the white Stromma building (Stationsplein 4), a 1-min walk from Amsterdam Central's city-side exit. Look straight ahead/slightly left across the square. Search "Stromma Central Station" on Google Maps; do not follow pins pointing to a bus yard. Arrive 15 mins early.

Great tour! - It was good but a little rushed. Would have loved about 30 more minutes in Zaans. Our tour guide was wonderful. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing tour - I recently went on the Zaanse Schans tour, and both our guide and driver happened to be called Rob!
Our guide, Rob, was absolutely fantastic – friendly, patient, and incredibly accommodating, especially towards guests who were unable to walk quickly. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the tour both fun and informative, and his genuine, gentlemanly nature made a great impression on everyone. He was a true legend, and I would happily book another tour with both Rob and the company in the future.
Rob, our driver, was excellent too. He drove safely and professionally, and his coach was exceptionally clean and tidy. He was also friendly and welcoming, which helped make the whole experience even more enjoyable.
A brilliant day out and highly recommended!

Fun tour - Very good tour, tried lots of cheeses, learned some interesting stuff. The village was very nice and the sheep were friendly!

Great tour that we booked... - Great tour that we booked sort of last minute, our guide was helpful with local information and pointed out areas of interest.

Nice tour of netherlands - Rick was great. Very informative. Finding the meeting site was a disaster. The white building was not white and the address in Google maps too you 47 km away. Need to clean up instructions.

Book a small group if you can!! - The group was too large and made visiting the Zaans difficult but we loved the upgrade to Vollendam! Also recommend the canal cruise.

Okay - I think it was a little overpriced and a very commercial, seemingly purpose built village. There was a lot of free time and the restaurant was very expensive, eg eur 10 for a glass of wine
