No visit to the Netherlands would be complete without indulging in its culinary delights, and the Jacobs Hoeve Cheese Farm was the perfect place to do just that. Here, we learned about the cheese-making process, from the milking of the cows to the aging of the cheese.

The farm’s automatic milking robot fascinated our children, who watched in amazement as it efficiently tended to the cows. We were then treated to a cheese tasting, sampling over 30 varieties of Gouda. Each bite was a testament to the craftsmanship and tradition that goes into Dutch cheese-making.

As we savored the flavors, we reflected on the day’s journey.
